Can we get a toggle for overworld fates already?

Would it be possible to get a toggle to turn off fates completely in the overworld for those who dont want to see them? Enjoying a zone, the immersion and its scenery from ARR to Dawntrail really gets cut off when you get a DUN DUN DUUUU! And a 10 000 year old OST for fates begins playing cutting the zone music off.

At least give us the chance to turn off old fates from former expansions.

Agreed. FATE music should only play if you're actively participating. It's incredibly annoying when you're minding your own business, fishing or gathering or whatever, and all of a sudden a FATE spawns on top of you and now you're stuck listening to FATE music for the next 15 minutes.

It probably wouldn't be so bad if FATE music had some more variety or at least, just played a variant track of the same zone, but yeah, the way it is now can get a bit grating when gathering/fishing.

I feel like the gathering/fishing problem here is only in the ARR or HW zones?

Part of why the later expacs' zone's feel so "empty" is the fact that maps were made large enough so that gathering and fishing nodes could be placed outside of FATEs and other "annoyances."

FATEs are one of the systems that needs a total overhaul from the grounds up, including all expansions without exception.

I'd like it if the devs looked up Guild Wars 2 for inspiration on how to implement a really immersive and exciting FATEs system.

I have to agree it is one of the things that really annoys me lol. I am just there minding my own business and the next thing that bloody music and you have Joined a fate!
