I think they completely turned FF around with this.

They just went all in on Cosmic Exploration and Occult Sanctuary, the raids dont even look like much for glam or mounts, it really feels as if side content became main content.

Cosmic Exploration and Occult Crescent are retention content, which IS core content in MMO, content A LOT of us complained about its removal during EW. I don't know what is main content to you if this isn't. I can hear the argument that Cosmic Exploration is gathering/crafting is side content, but telling Occult Crescent is wild after the last 3 years of complaints.

End walker till now was basically just MSQ and Raids, the meat of what makes up a MSQ has been missing. I pretty much expected occult crescent to last maybe a month or two based on how disappointing FF has been for the past few years.

Now I'm "Oh wow there's actually stuff to do in FF if you don't raid, and its a LOT"

I was basically expecting to unsubscribe after this live letter and leave FF behind because it was dead to me. Yes its a pain to wait for but I'm one of those people who Eureka was the only real content FF had outside of msq with Bozja being a poor second.

Edit: To clarify "As a non raider" I mean Savage/Ultimate since normal is so easy that it may as well be dungeon content.

I think the only thing i found interesting was the pvp updates. Occult i will hold my breath for just because to me anyways is just another prettier version of boja. I might have missed it but can you use it to level up other jobs or no?

Tell me you don't raid without telling me you don't raid. Normal mode first mechanic showing you a cute thing to look out for that will be layered over more complex stuff later

ONE WEEK of ONLY MSQ as content. Something people clear in a couple of hours.
And then 20 DAYS with only Arcadium as content, again, content you clear in a couple of hours per week and give weekly lockout.

Technically, you do have the extreme trial, unreal trial and Arcadion Normal on release, it is only Arcadion Savage that is released a week later.

And Endwalker till now has been a slow decrease of the player base (not to concerning lvl, but still a decrease). They're going back to what content closer to HW to ShB. Occult crescent is more like Eureka with some of the Bozja/Zadnor better ideas. Both Eureka and Bozja/Zadnor are still alive to this day. I doubt it will die under a few month.

Did you expect for them to spoil you about the msq. They never go deep about msq in those. MSQ and raids are still there. This is exactly what we had during EW and early DT. Do you wish they talked about that for 35 minutes? I'm the first one one to shit on SE when it comes to the content release calendar, but your take seems wild to me. I'm glad they're going back to activities that are more mmo-like.

Look forward to Occult crescent, but I do hope they learn from Eureka and Bozja, finishing a way to keep players in the area and returning to Occult crescent.
Hope it won’t be another dead zone after the initial hype train finish the grind

You can level up all Phantom Jobs, yes
