Although the game is running on top of the range servers its being limited by crappy coding, just imagine a top range gaming PC trying to play FFXIV on a Windows 98 OS, the hardware is no limit its the coding thats doing this.

...except that SE has said the hardware IS one of the problems. Hence, it's being replaced for 2.0.

The hardware isn't the biggest problem right now because they ARE using the newer 2.0 hardware for some of the world servers, the coding is the limit read the earlier post and the Dev post by Yoshi.

Wrong, read Yoshi's post http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post661109
We ARE now, AT THIS TIME, on 2.0 servers, but we're still on 1.0 server CODE, its all to do with the CODE, hardware is pointless if code isnt fixed.Currently we are using the high spec servers for 2.0 to try and make this stable but the server process code is still current FFXIV code so this max limit reaches before the 2.0 server code.
I didnt get it because the location is not realtime... its not where my character is now, my home nation that i picked is Uldah, not sure what that has to do with where I am in game, but oh wells, if they like the cheesey laughs.

Indeed, where in that statement does it say we're currently playing on the 2.0 servers? To me that statement says they have the 2.0 code running on the new servers.

Holy crap you serious? i even quoted
Everything is to do with the CODE, not the server, or the hardware, it is the Network Code that cannot handle threading properly, like they said. So the congestion is causing the server to flood out. That is 1 reason for the server crashes. The next is bugs, which they fix'd today, that is why you had a patch, IT WAS A CODE issue.Currently we are using the high spec servers for 2.0 to try and make this stable but the server process code is still current FFXIV code so this max limit reaches before the 2.0 server code.

No point trying to tell them, they obviously can't see facts even when the Producer of the game states what they're usingHoly crap you serious? i even quoted

Why so serious. Smile, it will feel good. No-one was picking a fight. Cheer up, we all have something in common, and all want the same thing: FFXIV Success.
