It's convenience ultimately. Why do it yourself and dedicate the time when you can open your wallet and have someone else do it for you in a day? Same thought process behind why people buy skips imo.

Why do you even do any content unless it's fun and engaging for you?

As for the story skip. I support that because the story is an absolute slog. I didn't even think the story was that good, to begin with,and a lot of people have little to no interest in playing NetFlix or Otome.

Convenience in the sense that you can get it without having to dedicate weeks or months of time. Buying clears has been a thing for years now tbh, so there's definitely a market for people who don't want to put in the work but still get the reward.

There's also probably some people who might not have the time availability in general to do Ults (but would if able) so paying for them is their only way of doing it.

The real reason still eludes me on why they would do that. Convenient for what? the achievements? the glam? I am genuinely confused. And lastly, who the F cares if you cleared an ultimate or not, if 90% of the time you sit in Limsa and you cannot effectively do the fight if people would ever invite you to do any of that content?

They only care about the clear and the things that the clear gets them. They care about the weapons, titles, glam, bragging rights over tackling the challenge and succeeding.
