I think you can't deny one thing, if they would increase dmg in dungeons by 100%, it would actually be closer to ARR dungeons difficulty, when the game started.
You can make the old content clearable faster by increasing damage of players, but they didn't have to decrease the damage of monsters to make it easier.
The game is now overtuned, you are almost impossible to kill in some dungeons, even if you stand in every single aoe. The math is not mathing.
Add to that that the vulnerability debuffs are not consistent it seems, 5 stack vulnerability in one duty could be meaningless in the other it actually hurts significantly more. Again the math is not mathing.
You can debate hours over how players should play. But the reality is just there is less incoming damage and even more tools to mitigate it.
And if you don't die, you can't lose, you will think you are doing great.
Some tankbuster barely do over 10% of max health now. You almost automatically HP regen tick that damage over time...
