Sounds like you're not giving yourself much of a chance
Nobody's gonna be perfect on their first run

I'm so happy with it, and I love hearing people that are unfamiliar with FFXI enjoyed it as well. I lost my mind at the remastered Ru'Aun Gardens.
It took over an hour, and it made me regret waking up that day. I was in no way expecting perfection. I just want to get it over with. One and done. I wasn't going to farm it. I didn't care. But it was a flash bang effect fiesta. It wasn't fun, and I couldn't get the time I wasted in there back. Plus, I'm pretty sure I annoyed my FC because I rage quit from our FC group doing it. It sucked. I didn't like it. I'm not going to do it again any time soon.
I had the same issues with M2. The fight took 30 years only for us to fail at 3% and have to redo it. After 3 times of that, when we did clear it, I refused to do M3. By then, I was so worn out playing I wanted to dunk my head in boiling water.
I don't find overlaping effect fiestas fun. And I'm thankful every day that this garbage is optional.
Now get your finger pointing and your chuckles out. I'm more than likely going to unsubscribe after this.

Fafnir's tornado phase can go [REDACTED] itself, but the rest of the raid was enjoyable enough. The final boss took me a bit to figure out but I think I'll be comfortable enough with it after one or two more runs.
Also I feel compelled to point out to all the "hard alliance raid = good alliance raid" people that in the long term, this is roulette content. Sure, gear will make it substantially easier, but the last thing this game needs is ANOTHER alliance raid that results in half the players dropping out upon realizing they got it for their roulette today, and that's what's going to happen if SE goes much farther in this direction.
Hey, if you don't find it fun, you don't find it fun. That's perfectly acceptable. It took over an hour, and it made me regret waking up that day. I was in no way expecting perfection. Just in case it helps, have you tried reducing or disabling party battle effects? It may help with visibility if you haven't tried that yet.
Yeah, I turned them all off, but mine as limited. Titan still flash bangs me, but if I turn it completely off, I can't play at all. It just loses all, I guess, weight to it.
But I have a problem with wasting time. When you're having fun, you don't notice it, but you damn sure do when you're dead on the ground. The game's not fun, then. I get it. Like you said, not everything is for everyone. I just wish I could've taken it like a champ like my friend did. She died way more than I did. They barely cleared the timer, almost ran out from what I heard. I just got to a point where I wanted to do literally anything else. Like I was fantasizing about waking up for my 9 to 5 and freedom from what I was doing in that moment.
I haven't felt this apathetic to content since pre nerf Orbonne.
Do you mean the friendly Summoner's Titans? You can reduce the size of the big boy (and the other summons) doing:Regardless, hope you get some content you enjoy soon!Code:/petsize all small

Honestly if you have trouble with wasting time, it might be better to not rush into the alliance raid week 1 and wait a week or 2 before giving it a shot. You'd be surprised what having just a few experienced people who know what they're doing can do to improve the ability of an entire 24-man group. Just having people to follow, especially in the 2nd and 4th bosses can make a humongous difference. I personally really enjoyed the fight, but if the wasted time was your main issue maybe just take your time going into it so you can enjoy your experience more. Maybe blind alliance raid runs just aren't your thing, but having more difficult mechs to figure out day 1 wiping over and over is something a lot of other people like, so I wouldn't treat it as an inherent flaw in the fight design.Yeah, I turned them all off, but mine as limited. If I made it seem like it was a flaw with the game, it wasn't intentional. Difficulty is subjective. I just didn't enjoy the difficulty I faced. This is if you like pickles or not. I just gave my feedback. I hated it. It wasn't fun. The alliance was toxic. People were genuinely confused and treated like todlers.Honestly if you have trouble with wasting time, it might be better to not rush into the alliance raid week 1 and wait a week or 2 before giving it a shot. But it's irrelevant. I think I'm done in general. I'm not having fun at all anymore. All I have is beast tribes and crappy pvp rewards. I'm getting sick of the condescending community. After 11 years I'm done.
Have a good day or night. Whatever it applies to.
Was happy with the FF11 nostalgia and the raid was really fun as well. Made me think about reactivating my FF11 account again to mess around with that for a month.
