There is no need for this system if the devs do not try to overcrowd servers, Oh I need to run to the shop, come back dc'd, Oh I need to get a drink, smoke and wc, dc, constant dcs are a pain.

The problem is that people are crowding Ul'dah A-zone, there is plenty of room if we spread out, so that is thier priority rather than annoy us all with the constant kicks.
It wouldn't be "constant" if they set the right period of inactivity for it. Even if you are booted off it is really that big of a deal? Holy crap, people will have to click their mouse three times. Clearly too much effort.

Then there's the fact that, for obvious reasons, we won't have to deal with things such as waiting periods when logging in. It's an easily implemented solution that would at the very least alleviate some of the stress the servers are going under, if not eliminate it completely.

That would be great, but I could have sworn someone had stated this isn't possible on the current server system.

The in thing with MMOs is a 15 min time out, so ok all within 2hrs I wash the dishes (takes more than 15mins) I do have some food (along with cooking takes more than 15 mins) I take the dog out again can be more than 15 mins, and between these I play thats 3 times in 1hr (going with the MMO standard) I would need to log back in the fact is with server updates as needed and ensuring they will not go over capacity at peak hours you eliminate the need for a time out or login queues a world reaches that point you order parts for it easy.

If SE does this at 2.0 there will be no need for this, also if people leave Ul'dah A-zone and spread around Gridania and Limsa there will be no need for this /airquotes feature /airquotes because there is plenty of room on the server, just people cram Ul'dah, its why Yoshi-P is trying to move people around the world. I for one love Ul'dah and I will be staying there, even if another city (Ishgard excluded) becomes the main hub, its why I stared there and why I joined the flames.

Or you could just log out when you're doing those things. Again, not a lot of effort.

You talk about how everyone needs to do their part to solve this problem then immediately state how you're going to stay in Ul'dah. If you want to try to justify posing around town then fine, I can't stop you. Everyone is free to play the game however they want. Just know that you aren't contributing toward the solution at all by doing so.
