On the other hand, in order to be fully 730 without doing savage you need to do 8 weeks worth of Alliance Raids for the coins, yeah? And that's for a single job... so, there's that.

Why you need 730 tho lol? Thats the thing ppl like op thinks that savage raids needs like a super preparation to actually do them and i dont blame them I use to think the same before trying raiding but in reality you only need i710 on your gear and you are already in the possibility to clear M1S to M4S and thats most likely be the case for the chaotic alliance raid. The design has always been the same and there is no need to explain it. Just log in check if your item is equal or more than 710 and thats all you need. OP said to have a full quetzali gear thats more than enough to do any content either current savage, chaotic or the new extreme thats going to be released, the only thing that ever needs some level of preparation are new ultimates in this case FRU even old ultimates doesn't need preparation cuz those are ilvl synced

God, I'd like it if there were a post-savage type of content besides Ultimate that would make the gear useful, TBH.

Well at the end of the day people were asking for a DIFFERENT way to get gear, that isn't committed to Savage raiding, on top of that they added 5 more rewards to it, plus some of them you can even sell on the market board, so I don't know, _so far_ it feels like a very fair piece of content.

I'll hold my breath until the content is out, to see how hard it is to clear it, and if the stats on this new gear are worth the trouble.

If it works like it has always done you won't be full 730 doing alliance raids weekly until they remove the weekly lockout for savage, since only at that point do they let you buy the weapon upgrade with alliance raid coins.
And of course you will be missing the 2nd 730 ring since you can't wear two augmented tome rings...an honestly pointless restriction when they allow you to do so as soon as the next raid tier releases.
