Having things in game as rewards and to work for vs cash shop. Tale as old as time, but you are going to lose this fight, MMO gamers already lost this fight a long time ago.

they just need to stop putting shit into mogstation that can be earned within reason within the game, you cant tell me the cooking emojis or the snack ones don't belong as part of a cooking side quest I mean really... but are we surprised? every game is doing this bs, and it won't stop until people stop being stupid and buying it
Both of those games are FREE TO PLAY
FF14 is a SUBSCRIPTION game

Well, if they keep going on with it we're going to wind up with more Cash Shop Emotes than we actually have in-game. 40% is already a big number to consider, since the more that they add on and don't give us, the bigger that number is going to get. We already know that Event Emotes are going to be shoved right into the Online Store anyway instead of put in the actual game for purchase via gil(even if it needs to be exorbitant in some cases) during the event.
In reality it's an aesthetic at the end of the day, but it does leave a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth e.g. Meister Figure Emotes. It just would help if we got something new instead of constantly throwing crap into the Cash Shop and not giving people who have base game anything but the basic things. MSQ already gives you a handful of emotes, especially during Heavensward Era where we got some good ones - but we didn't see it constantly being thrown into the Online Store until during Shadowbringers.

It's too eggspensive for what it is.
A sparkling pony horse in World of Warcraft, valued at 15.00, made more money than Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty. This is why companies do micro-transactions, because people pay.

Life is pain, highness; anyone who says differently is selling something.

You do realize pso2 ngs has a sub.... you need a sub to even use the store to sell items that cost real money locked behind a loot box with a chance ur ok with those emotes being 60 - 100 yet your here crying about an optional emote many ppl could careless about.... man ff14 player quality is crap.... XD i need to remember this is same forum that was crying dawn trail was too hard.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.

Those are free to play games. You are paying $15/month to have a free to play experience in your subscription MMORPG, and NONE of those emotes are account wide.
Load up the harpoons boys. We've got some whales in the waters.
i've have 6k hours in JP PSO2 and i never NEVER put a single cent in the game because well, I got free stuuf over the years and super rare collab stuff gotten with meseta only. Now i have like 600hrs in NGS due to having a toaster without AVX thus i couldn't play it at release, but NGS is super generous with the amount of free fashion, lobby actions, motions (think about personalities/ polymorphs in Elder Scrolls Online) not only that but they constantly rerun stuff so players can get for free. Hell they release scratches over scratches every 3 weeks so you couldn't say they recycle fashion (gear appearance in XIV) that you can get like in 1 day farming (men gear is incredibly cheap, women and cast gear its expensive but affordable if you decide to farm meseta). NGS have a lot of problems regarding gameplay loop and player retention, but fashion and emotes aren't none of them
