The people who live and breathe social media will always be a strange sort of phenomenon to me. I just can't wrap my head around how anyone can spend a majority of their day on Twitter, IG, tiktok, etc. I guess for some people it's tied to their career? Meanwhile I can hardly be bothered to keep a linkedin profile updated.

In the case of Sena it probably is tied to her career. Connections, relevance and all that, even if we wish it was all skill-based. But then the question becomes if it is tied to your career, why be so inflammatory online? It just seems foolhardy to me.

Given the stories of random devs getting death threats and threats against their families, just for being a dev on a game some gamers didn't like - I can definitely believe a Trans voice actor in a leading role for a huge MMO who did a bad job would have received at least one threat like this. Especially with her personality and the things she posts that are just so divisive and antagonistic towards women.

I don't think believability is my issue here. If I had to bet a large sum of money, I'd be that she received at least one threat.

I do think if they were that concerned they wouldn't be posting photos of their locations and this is mostly about victimhood points though.

The way she was written, too, made me roll my eyes quite a bit. The whole "my super power is that I love peace so much" and "I'll bring happiness to everyone". I get that she was supposed to be the good version of the other leader but c'mon. There is naivety, and then there is being an idiot.

That being said, I don't think that's grounds to harass someone. And I don't understand the outright hatred either. At this point maybe just switch off your internet access and move on. You're making the rest of us look bad.

Agree about the part where she shouldn't be harassed, but if she had a kind personality on Twitter she would get more support - even with a bad performance.

As is, she just posts about taking jobs away from CIS women, bemoaning other people getting support, and now starting low-key harassment campaigns against other voice actors who aren't striking. This makes her very unlikeable to many people.
