People are defiantly taking their dislike of a character too far.

No. Their dislike of the character is merely amplified by the jackbooted mob eyeballing you and daring you to be critical of that character.
The way they always do, when they're on a tear about their preferred groups.

I understand that but Sena also did other voice work that was fine otherwise she wouldnt be hired in multiple games.ARR's voice acting sucked across the board, and people are more than willing to point that out, so that's not completely true. HOWEVER, DT had the entire expansion focus around a single character, and the VA still managed to phone it in. It's a huge problem because we literally had to listen to this F-Tier voice acting the entire expansion. That is why people are angry about it. It isn't ARR's occasional voice acting, especially since a lot of that was unvoiced. It's the entire 90-100 experience, voiced acted like that.
Even if we assume all these companies want a Trans voiceactress in specific its not like she is the online one available.
And how Wuk Lamat is written is completly on the writers part (which in admit freely alos get flag in this forum)
If she is misscast or only had bad direction or they didnt take retakes or what ever happend. The blame is also on the Voice Team.
They would have needet to do more takes until it works or drop (i assume) demanded accent if that one makes more trouble.
And all idendity things aside. If you (reader) would work in voice acting and you had the chance to be part of the largest MMORPG on the Planet wouldnt you take it? Especialy as Fan?
In the exact same situation, knowing that I'd be voicing a role that I professionally struggle with? No way. That'd be career suicide, knowing my limitations. I've turned down positions at work that I know I would struggle with, because it would kill my career to accept them.I understand that but Sena also did other voice work that was fine otherwise she wouldnt be hired in multiple games.

unironically, someone linked kotaku
my sides already have reached pluto orbits

End of the day. She did a job. It's not always the VA's fault at things. Look at the director, and direction they are given.
Personally I think she did a great job that fit the character's actions.
However, that said. It's NEVER okay to attack and threaten an ACTOR for doing a JOB. FULL STOP.
I don't care about valid criticism, but look at every factor involved.
I've seen amazing VA's do terrible jobs on certain characters. Not because they suck, but the direction they were given. They are told to go out of their vocal range, they are told this or that, and the performance suffers.

How is this on Page 50? Jeez....
Urgh.

I lurk here and there, but the fact that I'm a 2013 player and it's taken *now* for me to make a post is something. Most of the time I'm reading on Reddit or other discussion based places for things. I'd give my 2 cents on things but, with the way this discussion train has derailed.... Hmm.
Edit: I can't forum, lmao. :')
