If that’s the excuse, it’s pretty lame. Anyone can get equivalent to level 3 FC buffs with the GCs. Food bonus also with pvp on top of gc. As for gear wear, again, there is a gc item, a potion (Durability Draughtwith) and you can get infinite dark matter to repair gear without spending gil by just turning in dungeon gear (just hit the greed button or take 5 mins and run a lvl 80 dungeon unsynched to buy a bunch…normal repairs are also not very expensive).

This adds to the many clear disadvantages associated with world travel or being off the data center, such as having no retainers, no free company chat, likely no novice network, and no access to their linkshells, among others. Forcing people into these circumstances is something I cannot condone.

Congestion hasnt been a thing since the end of week 1 of DT

at some point they have to let go of that excuse, let people play with their friends and families.

The population isnt the population of EW or SHB, it hasnt been in a while, there is no need for all of this.

Also "just dc travel" also does not work because you cant join FC's.

The original statement heavily implied that things would go back to business as usual for DC travel and World Visit. What we got instead with this patch, was a bunch of new limits based on server congestion. This was done specifically to prevent players from going to one specific DC(Aether) to raid. This is almost certainly in response to people complaining that they felt forced to go to Aether throughout EW to do endgame content.

Dynamis should not exist for people to transfer there just to get a house and then spend the rest of their time on other DCs. If you make a character there you need to be compelled to support that community.

They're referring to server congestion, meaning it takes an excessive amount of time to log into the game due to servers reaching maximum capacity with online players, similar to what happened in Endwalker. This expansion hasn't seen that issue, except maybe during the first week, and it varies by location. They (Square Enix) are deliberately changing server status to 'congested' to redirect traffic to less populated servers, yet they're doing so without allowing players to move to their preferred home worlds first. Consequently, we're still restricted. I've been unable to transfer for nearly three months, and it's uncertain how much longer this will continue. It's causing severe distress and damaging the game experience to the point that it's no longer enjoyable to play.

How does it add to it? On the contrary, GC items are one of the things that a player can carry around and use everywhere, not just on their homeworld plus it’s level 3. I agree that the other restrictions are annoying but when it’s a full static it’s a non issue. It become an issue when you pug as you end up waiting and waiting with nothing else to do. The only long term solution would be for SE to work on regional cross DC PF and DF .

I never wanted to be there in the first place, but Aether was locked down. People going there for a house is silly, but understandable to an extent because of how poorly housing was implemented. However, being off world all the time is absurd since you miss out on fc perks, retainers, etc.

I meant that their reasonings are in addition to the things i mentioned. But I can't speak to what content they do or don't do, or make them do it. If they have those items, or the capable squadron, then I can only suggest it. However, they don't want to deal with 20 min queue times just to get me, when they can get another person to fill in without hassle. They are entitled to have their reasons for their actions and I don't have the right to tell them what to do. I personally wouldn't want to do it either, if I were in their shoes. This situation shouldn't even be happening. I do agree 100% cross dc party finder is long overdue, but id say it should be region locked for sure. Someone from OC joining a savage prog in NA would just be a guaranteed wipe.

Aether and Crystal were locked down very hard, I have a friend that had to make on Dynamis so we could use DC travel and still play together. This isn't going to fly.

While I understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, blindsiding people on day 1 of a new savage tier wasn’t the correct way of announcing/releasing the change. This should have been announced at DT launch at the very latest.
