I was compelled to create my character on an unwanted data center, with a home world transfer barred for 90 days. Subsequently, I was sent back to Dynamis for a month, with the promise of travel resuming upon the release of 'Savage', which two weeks late already. Now, I'm still forced to remain in Dynamis, isolated, due to the non-reinstatement of data center travel. It's unreasonable to expect my friends to transfer here en masse; it's unfair to them and puts me in an awkward position. Currently, I'm facing 40-minute queues for data center travel just to purchase leather for crafting, which is frankly unacceptable. I've decided not to renew my subscription because my 'Savage' group has replaced me with someone from their own data center, Aether, to maintain their free company buffs and reduced gear wear. Now, I'm expected to use the party finder with strangers, which is not an option for me. I feel let down by these circumstances, and the fact that Square Enix has been ignoring the majority.The issue of pre-purchasing Dawntrail along with all previous expansions, yet not receiving access to the content despite owning the licenses, has been extremely detrimental to my progression and happiness. Six weeks of my 'road to 80/90' buff have been completely wasted due to what appears to be corporate greed and corruption, as it seems there was an attempt to coerce players like myself into purchasing the expansions again to gain access.

Square Enix seems to be disregarding their customers, appearing uninformed and disingenuous. I'm not the naive demographic of young gamers they seem to be targeting with their game—a game that may not even appeal to or retain these new players. It seems like a misguided attempt to increase game sales at the expense of loyal subscribers. 'Dawntrail' has been a significant disappointment in the history of FFXIV. I would prefer to lose an auction for my mansion as the sole bidder to a bid #0 than to endure this situation. This feedback is not intended to disparage Square Enix but to express legitimate grievances. I'm frustrated, and justifiably so, as this game is a significant part of my life, and recent changes have adversely affected my experience. Goodbye Square Enix, and I hope you stub your toe on every possible thing you can.

DC travel was partially reinstated 2 weeks later than it should have been fully reinstated.

The original statement heavily implied that things would go back to business as usual for DC travel and World Visit. What we got instead with this patch, was a bunch of new limits based on server congestion. This was done specifically to prevent players from going to one specific DC(Aether) to raid. This is almost certainly in response to people complaining that they felt forced to go to Aether throughout EW to do endgame content.

Congestion hasnt been a thing since the end of week 1 of DT

at some point they have to let go of that excuse, let people play with their friends and families.

The population isnt the population of EW or SHB, it hasnt been in a while, there is no need for all of this.

Also "just dc travel" also does not work because you cant join FC's.

They said it would be reinstated 4 weeks after release at the latest (which basically meant today). It was reinstated, but they changed the DC travel system to have long queues (artificially).

My guess is the longer queues for DC travel are to put a stop to DC travel for S ranks and it may also make it even worse for world visiting for them.

If that’s the excuse, it’s pretty lame. Anyone can get equivalent to level 3 FC buffs with the GCs useable on any world/dc. Food bonus also with pvp on top of gc. As for gear wear, again, there are two gc items: fear maintenance manual from squadrons and a potion (Durability Draughtwith) from vendor and you can get infinite dark matter to repair gear without spending gil by just turning in dungeon gear (just hit the greed button when running a dungeon or take 5 mins and run a lvl 80 dungeon unsynched to buy a bunch…normal repairs are also not very expensive)

Honestly, at this point... given the current state of things.... This is just far too damaging to the community.
