As someone who got BiS on every job in Anabaiseios, I don't think the weekly lockout on loot is an issue after the Anabaiseios changes (apart from the weapons which are truly awful) By the time I got 16 P12S clears I had gotten every savage drop I needed to gear every role and that was by doing purely PF and having weeks where I just got nothing. The real issue is tome gear, I did the math last tier and it took 36 weeks - NINE MONTHS - to get the 6.4 BiS on every job, or 41 weeks if you played SpS BLm instead of crit.

That said, BiS is really not needed outside of ultimates and savage criterion, anywhere else - even savage - you are good enough with just crafted (apart from later savage weeks where the ilevel lockout from players themselves) currently the highest ilevel you need to enter amywhere is 690 for extremes which you can get from your role gear and farming expert dungeons, anything higher its only to hit harder and get prettier numbers in a certain site. So altought I would like weapons to be much cheaper and tome gear to go down in price by the odd patches, I think the weekly lockout is a nessesary evil to keep the raids somewhat alive and to not allow people to burn themselves out (and of course, more sub money too)
