The reason they can't handle it is the game literally never asks them to in casual content. Even the one time they actually put a debuff which the MT took more damage (E4N), it was so negligible no one bothered after the first couple days. Their reluctance to put any sort of obstacle in front of players is partly why there's such a chasm in skill level.
