Is reading comprehension really that lacking these days?

It's probably more, we need confirmation in the form of details cause some of these announcements are quite surprising. I'm still waiting on detailed confirmation on the 8 characters per world for one low rate thing, I can't convince myself that there isn't some detail to that that I'm missing, my brain can't wrap itself around something that sounds that good in this environment

1) If it were to have a pricing per character they would have said it in red letters ( Extra character fee has not yet been determined yet)

2) If it were to be pricing per character they wouldn't make restriction on the Membership tiers for the amount of characters your allowed to create ( ex: Legacy 8, Entry 1)

3) Were getting Benefits here, they wouldn't just "keep us in the loop" of things. All things that would be related to pricing would either have been said, or have the words " X has not been established as of yet" lines.

In short, YES we are getting 8 CHARA'S for 1 prices as it says.


Edit: Also, Why would anyone Choose the Standard Option when you can just to the Entry for 1 Chara?

If the Extra Charas packaged required you to pay more money up front to use those extra characters.. then what would be the point of the package deal in the first place? :/ Common logic...

Under the new fee structure, the basic service fee and the character fee will be consolidated. In the case of a 30-day billing cycle, players will be able to choose from the two payment options below,
Entry Plan – $12.99 USD/£7.69/10.99 €: One character per World
Standard Plan – $14.99 USD/£8.99/12.99 €: Eight characters per World

CONSOLIDATE Means this:

1. unite into one
2. make firm or secure; strengthen
3. bring together into a single whole or system
4. form into a solid mass or whole
5. make or form into a solid or hardened mass

" The basic service fee and the character fee will be consolidated (fused into one)." The it says:
"In the case of a 30-day Billing-Cycle <----- meaning he's Referencing to the all in one pricing for all of the following tiers. The CONSOLIDATED (Fused into one) priced depending on "CONSOLIDATED (Fused into one)" package you choose will be the Prices they shown above"

idk it just says MAX playable chars in one world, doesn't say it comes with the package, just says you can have up to 8 chars. whether or not you pay for those are up for debate, They said many times that you will have to pay for extra char. and extra retainers, so I would assume you can have 8 chars. but you will have to pay for each and everyone of em.

So you can have mules on that server. You will essentially be taking up space on the server. Preventing other people from joining, that's probably why they charge more.

Well that can just mean
Monthly fee = 14.99 Add a second char? yes Monthly fee = 17.99
Instead of before
Monthly fee = 14.99
Char fee = 2.99

Just wanted to chime in that I'm super thrilled about the new pricing. Personally I thew in for the 6 month deal because it saved tons of money and was dreading the fact that once 2.0 hit it was going back up. Nice to see this wont be the case!

When my kids are older it'll be amusing to bust out the game if its still going or video of XIV's credits and point out the fact that I'm mentioned in it. From some comments I can see not many appreciate the gesture but I dig the fact that Yoshi is allowing this.

Love the limited edition mounts. Some may whine that the speeds are all the same but as a borderline online hoarder I go crazy over this type of stuff. Keep it up!

Due to the way characters have worked in XI and XIV I'm still unsure if it means we can make 8 characters per server without extra fee or not? If so I can see some peoples wondering why this is even needed/wanted. Personally once I look at it from the point of view that I might like to make 1 of each race. Since that whole survey about new race and all. I liked XI and XIV's ability to use 1 character to be all jobs and everything. Still can have it but I'm hoping now if we want to roll around on some other race its now not going to cost more. That will be nice.

As long as you get 90 days of Paid service and Participate in the 2.0 Beta, You will get the Legacy price..

Also 500-600k potential players> 50k people that's 450-500k people Paying either the same thing Legacy gets but it costs 15 bucks, or pay for only one Character for 12.99. ( I'm sure most people will get the 8 Character Package 7 extra charas for only 2 bucks more? yeah I would take that if I wasn't a Legacy Member :P.

I don't know where you got that a person has to participate in the beta for 2.0, even on lodestone for the legacy it says only that they need to have a sub and pay for it for 90 cumulative days BETWEEN 01/06/2012 until the COMMENCEMENT of the 2.0 Beta testing. No where in that little paragraph nor Yoshida's does it say that you have to be in the testing to be eligible. Aka, if you have a sub that you paid some how for it for about 3 months, you are Eligible for the Legacy program.
