See you on the field I guess.
See you on the field I guess.
Let me make sure I understand this correctly. Your goal is to either force other players to improve (or more accurately, to adopt the style of play that you have deemed "correct"), or make them so miserable that they quit the mode?
My stance has always been wanting to see people to improve, to understand meta and strategy, party up and coordinate in chat. There is a lot going on in this mode, and I will beat it into people until they understand it or give up. Either way benefits me. Better games or continue to grind exp faster.
Mawlzy, we've talked about this in the past. My intentions from back then haven't changed. I don't feel the need to go over it again.
Sure. You've always maintained that your goal is to raise the average skill level by training more premade commanders, and I have presented arguments why I believe that won't work. But I don't recall you ever stating before that you will achieve this by driving the weak players from the mode. I guess the mask has slipped. I'm frankly shocked. I'll have to triple the order of scones for the next general meeting of La Résistance.
somehow he doesn't realize that making premade stacks and trying to beat pug teams with twice their combined their score isn't a good idea for helping the game mode. the only people who are even remotely thinking frontlines are fun beyond a daily are some of the ones on his team, and even then most of them dont care.
I believe Olivia is a she. But agreed, of course it won't help the game mode, quite the reverse. The Olivia philosophy is the primary reason it's currently languishing. And more importantly, there isn't a gaming company in existence that appreciates players whose stated goal is to force other players to disengage from content.somehow he doesn't realize that making premade stacks and trying to beat pug teams with twice their combined their score isn't a good idea for helping the game mode. the only people who are even remotely thinking frontlines are fun beyond a daily are some of the ones on his team, and even then most of them dont care.
The premade players are out of touch with the wider community at large. That is their problem.
They do not understand that by curb stomping people repeatedly, it sucks the fun out of the game mode, and deters people from getting into the content. Thats less people who want to learn how to PvP. Thats less people to try out the other modes like CC and Rival Wings. Thats less people asking for more PvP related content to be added into the game. The average player doesn't enjoy PvP. Thats a serious problem for replenishing, and maintaining our numbers betwen patches and mogtome events. It does not help the community grow.
If faced with a challenge, people will either step up or won't. Either out of admiration or spite, I've seen people get better.Sure. Then there's the people who are only there for exp and don't care either way. The people who only afk in spawn or auto run stright into the enemy team without pressing buttons. I would rather they not be in the match, on my team or my opponents.
I understand the frustration, but to "beat it into people until they understand it or give up" strikes me as perilously close to griefing. The mode was not created to satisfy your whims. It is for the player base as a whole to enjoy as they see fit.If faced with a challenge, people will either step up or won't. Either out of admiration or spite, I've seen people get better.

But congratulations if people's admiration for you is so great they improve. That's a remarkable accomplishment.
Player
Never has that been more apparent than Olivia's recent comments in this thread. Not only completely out of touch, but also standing on a Messianic pedestal of their own making. I suspect that if the broader PvP community read the last couple of pages of this thread, they'd conclude that Olivia is not the Messiah, she's a very naughty girl. The premade players are out of touch with the wider community at large.
