They explained that: after struggling against the ice for 80 years, it's batteries are almost empty. It's basically half dead and just wants out to recharge. We kill it in it's half dead state.

Should it have recharged successfully, things would have turned out differently.

That, at least, is not a misstep.
They are TRAPPED inside a tiny dome with a static version of some dumb ass disneyland.

Yah, after 400 years, I too would beg the WoL to turn that forkin' terminal off. That is NOT an existence worth living, especially considering the cost.

Yep, my first thought was "Oi, didn't we found a cure for that already?"
Thee story also really drops the ball in acknowledging that my Kitten is a healer. Multiple NPCs getting hurt and Ifalna does nothing. <_<

Wuk casually taking off 10% Boss HP with one attack irked me as well.
Though technically we were inside the Matrix, so maybe she just ran Cheat Engine. :'D

The only people who supported us deleting them were their own parents... a bit of a bias. Literally everyone else was happy and didn't have a say. Also I do not believe it is static by design, you can literally see the world being built/changed, I am convinced the place would change according to what the people want to see under normal circumstances.

What? When you turn off the first tower, there are literally Endless happily waving goodbye, and at least in the first aether current quest, the tour guide happily tells you you're his last customer. If you talk to the knight after the cheesy event, he thanks you for ending his existence on a brighter note. And on and on.

... sometimes I feel like people just don't pay attention on purpose.

    This.
Also I talked to random NPCs and they too said "I don't mind if it ends, I got to do what I wanted."

Excuse me? You were the tour guides last customers because you deleted everyone else, he didn't hate his job or anything he just had an unfulfilled wish that you helped fulfill. Also yeah, I bet someone would thank you for making them happy before death, we have real life groups that do that, we even give meal wishes to death row inmates. None of these are examples of people being happy they're disappearing.

There is no excuse for you. The point is that he, and virtually everyone else, was clearly, obviously happy with ceasing to be. I'm no fan of the Dawntrail writing or story; it's not great. But the writing made it clear that the endless were fine with dying. People wading around in a mire of headcanon because they don't think they *should have* been fine with dying should be complaining about the writing, not making up garbage interpretations of the story.

Only headcanon here is that "everyone" is fine with it, this is insane, you're projecting your own garbage ideas. How do you, rather how am I supposed to interpret that the guy who waited decades for his girlfriend to join him in Living Memory is HAPPY to die minutes after finally meeting and proposing to her?

Because the writers gave numerous clues about the endless either being okay with or ambivalent about "dying," which is how writers put general opinion of a populace in every story. The fact remains that literally only sphene objected to her people being erased. The game even goes so far as to show that the people who had a good reason for sticking around did, which is the point of the aether current quests. If the guy who had been waiting for his wife was desperate to spend more time with her, he wouldn't have disappeared.

So, no. That's not headcanon. It's perfectly consistent with the writing. Meanwhile, you can continue to feel bad about the poor man and his wife. Maybe write a fanfic if you like.

It's even stated that the place we go to fight Valigarmanda is full of crystals that it's preparing to feed on to recharge its power.

Made more explicit when unlocking the Extreme fight. The Wandering Minstrel's setup for it is literally "Imagine if he was at full power".
