FFXIV Legacy and Welcome back campaigns

I just hope both of these campaigns are not signs that SE is trying to lower expectations for 2.0.

Don't get me wrong I'm happy, but I was also happy thinking they didn't care about us now because 2.0 was the real game. Concessions to customers now could just be them being really nice (I hope), or it could be them setting us up possibly for a 2.0 that other than engine/map changes will not raise XIV to the expectations that current players have for it.

I hope I'm wrong, it's just that I've seen similar programs in other MMO's right before they pulled a lot of the development funding, and even went F2P (though seeing as how they've announced the 2.0 pricing now I'm hoping that is definitely not going to happen here).

i don't honestly think so if they had wanted to they could have said f this and shut down all the servers when people started complaing about how awful the game was when it first came out. No I sincerly think this is another way of them saying Thank you for sticking with a game that others said screw this and left. Especially when i read it and it seemed very sincere in his way of thanking us. Remember they didn't have to do it at all.

I loved it. Buuut, I have a request. If its not asking much.. Could we be able to choose the mount? I mean, the chocobo reward is nice, but being able to choose between that and a magitek armor would be better

The magitek armor is coming for everyone eventually anyways, no? So why not both?

i think they said it's 90 days doesn't have to be consecutive

Paying for at least 90 days at any time between January 6, 2012 and the start of 2.0 beta testing is how you qualify to become a Legacy member. You do not need to pay for 90 days in a row to qualify.

ya it is and it's going to be use for something vs the chocobo they giving us is other chocobo with diff gear on it lol it be cool if the chocobo had diff colors and we could pick from any of them.

As long as you have had 3 months of subscription from the 6th Jan to the start of 2.0 beta you will get it, so you could have been subbed for Jan, cancel resub in april and keep that though may and cancel you will get the Legacy benefits.

If you sub now and keep your sub to 2.0 you will definately be elegable for the legacy benefits.

Okay, resubbed was the wrong word. XD I haven't *subscribed* at all until this month, but I did buy the CE the day it came out, so...

Yeah, if I keep subbing for the next 2 months think I'll still make it under? XD
