Holy shit, the circlejerk in this forum is crazy.

Is there stuff to criticize? Absolutely. But the way you guys want to make it look like everything is bad and this was the worst story of all time is actually bordering on mental health issues.

and while she havent' been my favorite character, the story been fine so far. I honestly don't understand all the push back unless something drastic happens next in the MSQ. My impression thus far is people came in with high expectations despite was told this is going to be a chill story.

The people who are 5 are the ones who jump in and start insulting others and saying they have mental health issues.

I didn't realize being passionate about the MSQ in this game is an indication of having mental health issues. God forbid people want to make some noise so that SE could improve next time.

People here seem to forget that the only reason ARR turned out to be successful is that Yoshi-P and their team listened to the player feedback for 1.0. They've said multiple times how valuable that feedback was.

I said this in another thread but negative feedback isn't a bad thing, it means you have people who care about your product. What you don't want is apathy. If people simply don't care anymore they will unsub and leave forever.

So why not try and have them make the best possible game they can? We know they are capable of better stories because we've played through several expansions which have, objectively, better stories.

Yeah, absolutely. Thank you for translating and posting these; it really helps to show that as a whole players aren't happy with the state of this aspect of the game.

I think the only difference is no one in JP is criticizing the VA, as the JP VA is very experienced and did a good job conveying the character and her emotions. It might be also why Wuk is less hated by JP

Wuk is not liked by JP side anymore than our side. I've seen JP say much more vile things about Wuk than anyone has said on these forums/reddit/twitter.

The Wuk dislike is literally just because of her character, not her VA.

what funny is most the complaints is people unable to deal with NOT being the protagonist for a story and people with Main Character Syndrome can't possibly have fun if its not 100% about their character even tho really after Stormblood, Shadowbringers and EW being so focused on world / universe ending threats their characters would have seen the 1st half as a nice relaxing vacation compared to what they had dealt with for so long and been relaxing.

Other characters (Erenville/Krile) who were also supposed to be mainlining this expansion were sidelined. Everyone became extras in "Wuk's Grand Adventure".
If the WoL was removed from the story, nothing would change and that's a bad thing no matter which way you spin it. We had less impact on the story than Mablu.

The only people saying this are people like this person using it as a strawman. The WoL took a backseat in HW and SB but it worked better in those expacs, especially HW but it worked in SB too, because the WoL was also on their own journey and was more than a bobble head and the other characters were more than soulless husks of themselves.
