Blm needs to have more rdps/adps than pct

Mobility isn’t a massive consideration. BLM is actually more mobile than PCT during long windows as BLM can store more instacast’s whereas PCT is more mobile during unexpected movement or short movement

As for utility the difference is basically tempra grassa which while very good doesn’t really by itself justify a nerf

So yeah I’d still be happy with PCT and BLM having SCH/SGE’s EW balance in terms of aDPS of the selfish class vs rDPS of the buffer

For adps, Since pct have a raid buff, he definitely needs to be behind the blm

For rdps, I still think that pct should be behind blm since easier + more party utility

BLM vs PCT on the difficulty front is honestly a coin flip, the removal of non standard on BLM has basically made its optimisation “don’t drop the rigid standard line” and PCT itself has some wonky optimisation but fair on utility. I’m still fine with PCT’s rDPS exceeding BLM aDPS at the top end since the difference isn’t that much (and again it basically mirrors healers where SCH is just a better healer than SGE but it also does more damage but only if you can optimise your entire party around your raid buff)

The problem right now is BLM is undertuned, both PCT and BLM should be competing directly with the best of the melees as they are all fighting for the 4th spot alongside their own role spot

PCT isn't fighting for the 4th slot. It's squarely in the CDPS slot. The only fight is whether you want a resser that much or not. The fourth slot should be the exclusive perview of greedy DPS. SAM, VPR, MCH, and BLM. The fact PCT is even competitive with the greedy DPS slot, at all, says more about how extremely badly balanced PCT is. Why even bring a greedy DPS when you can bring a buffer DPS that does the damage of a greedy one as well?

If the rDPS of a buff job is equal to the aDPS of a selfish job then they overall contribute the same

There is no reason why a job with a buff cannot compete for the 4th slot. MNK, NIN DRG and RPR already content for that slot as well people just have this weird idea that if a non melee has a party buff it has to do trash damage

When you pull out PCT raid buff it does low melee damage, and when you add its raid buff it does high melee damage, that basically puts it in the same place as MNK or RPR, which is totally fine, double caster should be totally viable as long as one of those casters is a BLM/PCT
