Like this if you want FFXIV to be successful and have more players?Alright time for a honest calculation (Of those who visit the forums at least) of how players feel about what this game is shaping into. I am tired of hearing the excuse that this generation of MMO's *has* to casualize to work. I'm curious to see how many of their paying players right now agree.
Like this post if you wish for
~A return to longer EXP requirements. (3+ months per Job at the low end)
~More difficult enemies (Party focuses on a single target instead of 4)
~EXP penalty for Death
~Level capped instances (If you want to do content at a lower level you can't blam through it with a 50)
~Return to the basic job/subjob system and Iconic names
~More Job utility outside of combat (Whm teles, Blm Warp II, Thf treasure Hunter, ect)
~Auction Houses and centralized markets which can be access from a primary city (We don't quite have a Jueno but we will soon I imagine)
More importantly. These highlight examples aside. Do you want the Devs to create a game that will truly challenge the player base? That forces close bonds with friends and makes every day you play memorable? To stop creating in shortcuts for those unwilling to put in the effort?

I want FFXIV-2?
edit: ...wait, what would that even entail?

Like this post if you think the only real reason this poll is being posted is to solicit likes for the OP's account.(okay, maybe mine too
but given how pointless and biased the "poll" is, that's the only possible point and reason for it)

I'm happy it's winning.
I look at posts like this, and see the same complete morons that think it's okay that half of the world's Politicians squander their taxes on stuff like 800,000 dollar parties etc.
I also look at the amount of players XI and XIV have combined, then look at most other MMO's and scratch my head with an auspicious Hmmm....
QED, while I did love XI very much, and we all know the worlds politicians are completely bass ackwards... I'd have to say any change in direction from all of the above would be warranted.
XI was great, but it abandoned solo play, and created a dwindling player base that got chipped away from at every single new MMO's release. Also, here's a thought, instead of creating stupid and actually poultry challenges, why not ask SE to well put their minds to it and make more interesting things. Does Cloud Strife get his panties in a bunch over a common rabble of shinra goons? No, that's why things like that annoying Tonberry, Ultima Weapons, Bosses in general were made..
Durm...why not make a post that says, SE, please give us Elite Zones, where only parties can survive grinding or leveing??? Nah..let's just make the game stupidly boring and sloooow right out of the gates of the city states. That's a grandiose idea.
TO add to that. LEVELING UP...should never, ever be a challenge in an MMO. Playing endgame should be 100% of the challenge, and should be the abundance. I know people who maxed every job to 75 and simply stood around in Jeuno all day cause the endgame content was not abundant enough, and lacked flare. So they made gimmicks like besieged and abyssea.I look at posts like this, and see the same complete morons that think it's okay that half of the world's Politicians squander their taxes on stuff like 800,000 dollar parties etc.

Why the blazes would anyone want a game that focuses on getting to endgame, with no endgame, making the game pretty weak on replay value, ergo generating weak financial gains, ergo getting 1 expansion every 2 years or possibly none at all.
I know! I actually have the answer. Because the trolls who say "ohhh it's about community" actually cannot make it in a group of civilized human beings long enough to organize a 40 man raid and actually succeed at anything other than getting gibbed by things that glow on the ground, so they want the consistency of their game to be about the shiny AF they have on in Ul'dah and how many jobs they have maxed.
Zzzz... Guild Wars 2, MoP, Tera, well just about every other MMO including Runescape = XIV's absolute doom if that's the model SE goes with, 100% truth.
EDIT:
And I'll tell you haters another thing. You might say stuff like WoW's easy etc, but it has enough endgame content / pvp content to keep it boasting 2+ million active players weekly. Multiply 14.95 2 million times, and Acti-Blizzard's ----ing on SE's revenue across all projects.
These polls do nothing but point out that only heartbroken FF nerds, like me, want to stay and tolerate this game and some of the completely whacked out individuals that have stayed behind with it. It's like the rapture happened and I'm in the tribulation with XIV, only I won't give up on FF because it's my favorite series of games.
Clearly, the masses have spoken. They don't want to spend obscene amounts of time fighting a Marmot in Central Thanalan, they'd like to fight epic monsters and villains that actually do interesting things or maybe even talk a bit.
The ----'s a marmot anyway, and how is a walnut getting through my baller chainmail???

I do not vote for either option since they are both stupid, over-exaggerated extremes with far too many variables.
exactly. i want parts of both.
i want longer leveling.(not 3 months per job though)
i do want more difficult enemies.
i do not want exp on death. it takes away from trying hard things.
i do not want forced level capped instances. if i want to go help a lower player with a dungeon i would like the option to sync with them, but if i want to go into lower level stuff to low man it or solo it's fine on your high.
i do not want anything to do with the job/subjob system from xi. that's part of the reason i left that game.
i do want some of the outside abilities, but would prefer to sty away from whm tele's and blm warp. it just leads to people being jerks and charging for something everyone should have anyways.
the market wards need some additional things done, but i could care less about an xi style ah where you don't know what something costs. if i want to buy an item just show me what you want for it and i'll buy it if i want and no blind bidding needed.
i guess what i am saying is i would like some aspects from other games to be in xiv and not just ones that came from xi only. if xiv was as bad as xi was i would have only stayed in it the same short length of time i stayed there. i've been here over a year because i like alot of aspects in xiv more than i did what xi offered. yes, it can be improved, but to say if you don't want xi you want easy mode win is just pure ignorance on behalf of the op.
there's many people that want changes, but those changes are not always going to be black and white xi vs easy mode.
edit: i didn't vote for either option because what i want out of the game is neither option.
This man is correct by the way, but I'd add to that by saying I want a couple more jobs, get rid of the retarded class system and definitely focus on real endgame content.
