    You should be using Flamethrower in AoE (dungeon pulls) as close to off-cooldown as possible without drifting your other skills like Bio-Blaster and the like. It's a super unique skill which we don't have many of left in the game and it's cute to be able to take your hands off the keyboard for 10 seconds in dungeon pulls in the midst of an otherwise super busy job.
    Liking it is one thing, but mathematically you have to go down a long check list before you consider using it because of how weak it is. That's what most of us are complaining about with that particular skill. Making it do more than tickle an enemy to death is what machinists want and why stuff like "make it give heat gauge" and such get passed around.

    But right now flamethrower is only one piece of the machinist problem, because there is much more to it than just that currently.
