honestly the male picto top looks like they slapped something together last second. it's ridiculous that they're still doing this esp when there is even ARR gear that does crop tops on male characters.

fem reaper getting the fun holes in the pants while male reaper is again stuck with another boring set of bottoms that i'll never be able to differentiate.

they were even gendering raid gear post EW, swapped off fem miqo bc i was tired of trying on outfits to have it suddenly completely change the bottoms

tired of my choices being boring clothes with pants forever and actually fun outfits but always having to show random bits of skin

THIS! It's just frustrating considering the WAR gear shows midriff but for some reason, they had to go through the effort to make a separate version for male pictomancers. I also personally think the black undershirt darkens the whole design a bit too much, the crop top broke it up well but now it's significantly more bland. With the focus they've had on reducing gender-locked gear, it really is disappointing to see that they're making such minor and easily avoidable differences between the male and female models (not even mentioning the dnc gear which is just... wow). I wish they'd at least have the option to use either one, especially considering that some with female wols would prefer the undershirt as well!

Exactly, my man, but what can I say? SE really wants us to all buy fantasia, or story skips so we can wear it on alts ig. Great way of making money, surely won’t backfire with player base loss

To get back on topic, just wanted to chime in and support the original point. If there's to be multiple looks for the set, it should not be genderlocked. There should be, at the very least, some kind of toggle so we can swap between whatever looks we desire. Regardless of whether one thinks it's "ugly" or not, at this point over 10 years in with the way everyone wants glam, it doesn't seem right to restrict glam options for arbitrary reasons that ultimately do not matter.

The dancer shirt design just seems like such a strange choice relative to the rest of the outfit. It looks like it should have a cropped vest similar to the original job gear in Shadowbringers.

Also, the pants are so minimally visible that it would make more sense to give everyone the fancy shorts and let them substitute plain pants if they want it.

If it's not possible to give the option to toggle between different gendered designs, then I would love to see an option implemented – at least for featured stuff like job gear – where multiple interchangeable gear items are made available.

So for example in this case "Dancer's Vest" and "Dancer's Croptop" would be separate items with the same stats, and you can choose which of the two items you want to purchase from the job gear vendor.

As an LGBT+ American I am sick of job gear. I WANT TO BE MALE AND WEAR MIDRIFF. I WANT TO BE FEMININE IN A MALE BODY. Yes there are other gearsets for this, but the job gear is iconic. LET ME CHOOSE.

Add the NIER and Neo-Ishgardian (and other gendered sets I can't remember off the top of my head that aren't Artifact gear, but them too) while you're at it.

I could see it having some practical issues in content where gear is RNG and it dilutes the chances of any single item dropping, which is why I was thinking primarily in terms of things that you'd freely choose from shops, or if there's some other complication with adding many extra items and they want to focus on a select few.
