I'd argue that the whole "resume" part of fflogs and act is more offputting to a majority of players than it is encouraging them to engage with the content. Participation numbers would go up, not down. Not to mention, most parses are not an accurate representation of the player's skill or potential.

The amount of people who actually care about that stuff are an extreme minority.

Also what does it mean for ultimate content to become entirely insolated? Definitions of insolate. verb. expose to the rays of the sun or affect by exposure to the sun. “insolated paper may turn yellow and crumble”

The other thing is, PF ultimates are proof that all your claims are incorrect. You don't vet players in PF, they join the group, it fills, and you do the run. Tons of people clear the hardest content in the game through PF.

This is purely anecdotal of course, but my experience and the experience of some newer players I talk to has been that the resume part means it's really difficult to start raiding if you've either only done Extremes or have done Savage only through PF because those runs tend to be a mess. Unfortunately, FFLogs are, on principle, just a way to generate stats. However, most people don't know how to read said stats properly and they think some of those numbers are way more significant than they actually are.

Being able to read them properly does however give you reliable ideas of player's performance, especially in obvious cases.
Like if I check someone's logs and they had 60% general uptime and 50% DoT uptime with 0 deaths it's highly unlikely to be a party finder issue.

Berne convention and universal copyright convention, Berne being more a more strict set of rules that most countries have followed that protect Copywritten works of course.
