Agreed. I get what they were going for, but they just look more like dumb cavemen. they don't even have beastly hands or feet, so we have this dumb inbetween.
such a shame, because some weapon idle poses and emotes shows them standing up straight, and it just looks so much better.

Another thing that disappointed me was that only one face had access to the horn, and that the horn couldn't be customized in any way like it being broken similar to Kimahri's in FFX.

The horn should have been a specific toggleable related to all face (each face with a different horn) AT THE VERY LEAST.

I must say, I was really annoyed with how Hrothgar were so different from Ronso at first but in the end I liked them enough to fanta my main. Still I was bothered by various things (no hat (and when they do, the hat and horn clip), slouch, lack of hair, relative lack of face diversity, etc.). Now, a lot of the options have really grown on me and now I don't mind most of it but I really get why people would want the option to stand straight. I kinda hope we will get a rework of the character creator at some point to add things like that but I guess that would negate any chance of a new race for 8.0.

We absolutely do not need/want another race in 8.0. way too much budget gets spent on it, meaning less content and qol. The game is in desperate need of qol since the start of time. We need to focus on that before adding another race

It's not that. When you play as a Hrothgar you're automatically labeled a furry or furry adjacent whatever. When they first came out, I made one because they look cool. Well, shortly after I did, I started getting messages of the nsfw variety. So I just blocked the people and moved on with my life, but it kept happening. Eventually, I changed back because of it. I still think they look cool despite all of it, but it's not something I want to deal with.

That happens with almost every race, especially Miqo'te, Viera and Roes. Only reason you don't get that much as a Hyur is because Hyur look like uncanny stiff dolls and most people aren't attracted to them the same way. And Elezen have always been mocked for their weird anatomy.
