I don't get it, the WHM dash forward animation they got makes it look like THEY'VE got the fairy wings and Sch are stuck with a white sheet and some chicken wings. They had 3 fairies [eos, selene, seraph] to choose from [4 if you include statice, 5 if you include the fae from ShB] to keep a consistent aesthetic and they just....ignored all of it! On top of that, the general presentation of the seraph-angel look is so terrestrial! Literally look like you're wearing a fancy dress costume as opposed to being clad in holy soothing light. It's not transformative, it's a costume change!

Well, I don't think they look like chicken wings. I do think the transformation on its own is quite pretty. However, it isn't sch in the slightest. I do agree it does look like a very pretty costume. I immediately thought of the kids in Coraline when I saw it. At first I thought, maybe they're going with a sineater route? Still, that again would be a whm thing with white magic / stasis - yes I know whm is tied to elements, but it is also tied greatly to white magic.

Well, I don't think they look like chicken wings. I do think the transformation on its own is quite pretty. However, it isn't sch in the slightest. I do agree it does look like a very pretty costume. I immediately thought of the kids in Coraline when I saw it. At first I thought, maybe they're going with a sineater route? Still, that again would be a whm thing with white magic / stasis - yes I know whm is tied to elements, but it is also tied greatly to white magic.

I might have seemed harsh referring to them as chicken wings but they're actually my favourite part of the whole thing - even though if I were designing a Seraph form I wouldn't make any of the same choices the devs did XD I see what you mean with the Coraline angels too [again, an aesthetic I'm a bit snooty about so I am coming at this with prejudice lmao] I would have preferred to see Seraphise look like the Jake-suit from adventure time
or even semi merged with the player like the inflorescence boss from the Nier raids but I think that would be hell to implement. I think most people woulda been happy with some glowy fairy wings and some particle affects though, it's the overtly Whm look feels so transgressive.
