There is also the minor point that you can basically make an angelic Hyur like this just with glam and fashion accessories, or at least something close to that. Yes, Reaper also has a full transformation with a Hyur or something as base model, but it still looks very special and fitting for a job with the visual effects, the lore etc. You can't just glam your way into this. The Scholar Seraph transformation is a design you can see at least once or twice on an average walk through Limsa... Not only does it look entirely unfitting to Scholar's identity and history as a person who heals and fights with the power of Anime and Math, it also looks just... boring. And no amount of flashy flashyness of flashy effects will change this with a base model that's just an average glam.

Do you remember when ShB was about to launch, the great homogenization of healers that was supposed to be for balancing so they would be able to build upon the new base ?
Do you remember when EW was about to launch, when they doubled down and homogenized some more and split it sub-roles, yet delivered nothing worth what was lost. At least they released SGE and they promised new effects on the AoE, akin to Holy's stun so each jobs would get it's own feel ?
Do you remember when DT was about to launch, when they still haven't delivered any of that ?

I wasn't expecting anything from the LL regarding healers, I was so mad with EW's lack of changes I quit for pretty much the whole expac. But forcing attire onto people? Especially attire more fit for WHM? That's a low blow not even I expected! They really should make it optional, or adjust it to be more thematic with SCH being a military tactician.
