    Completely agree.

I admit that classism and the purposeful exclusion of classes/jobs has gotten better since launch, but this is still a major and serious issue that I see causing MASSIVE issues with the 2.0 crowd. People are going to come back, level up their first class to 50 and start looking for content to do. The pre-existing crowds are going to exclude them from dungeons, citing "You don't have X class leveled, sorry." The returning players will then get frustrated, quit, and spread that the game is still garbage.

People such as the OP, myself, and several other players dislike certain jobs. Why should we be punished for wanting to play how we want to play? Every class/job needs to be vehemently tested on content to be viable in any situation; all while maintaining a strong identity/role in the party. Monks may dish out extremely strong DPS for single target, but if the entire dungeon is filled with rooms that you need to entirely clear on a very quick basis to even achieve the speed run... that is a flaw in DEVELOPER content.

Right now SE is mandating that players have several jobs leveled to finish speed runs, not the players. The players are simply finding efficiency, we always will. With that being said, SE needs to do a better job making sure that people with only one class can do everything in the game if they desire to do so.

This classist garbage occurred in XI, it occurred with sentinel until jobs came out, and now it is occurring due to dungeon mechanics. Clearly there is a significant amount of people who agree based on the thread I made earlier regarding sentinel and the exclusion of fights (see thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...586#post413586).

The SE developers CAN fix this, and should certainly look at other rewarding mechanisms other than speed runs that only offer certain pieces of gear. As I've said in the past, reward players for doing well (such as an extra chest with the same gear as the rest of the dungeon in it), but do not punish those for simply playing. Mandating that Darklight body gear only drops from speed run is the primary cause of this particular case of classism.

This is a game breaking issue and it needs to be looked into better for 2.0 and future content designs.

You shouldn't need every class/job leveled to experience all that end game content has to offer; including speed runs!
