No legacy mark on my character ?

You needed to be a paid member for I think 3 months in 1.x between Dates X and Y.
That is the part your missing.
I wish I got the map that I was do for 1.xx but didn't submit it.

to get the forever reduced rate and legacy.

I played 1.x
when the legacy got announced, I got my hubby a copy even knowning his PC couldn't play it.

We paid for his 3 months and he tried to play it.
in the end we both got legacy.

if the character is only lvl 1 then i wouldnt really bother using the one time restore, unless you wear the emperors new chest or any type of chest gear that exposes your back then you'll never even see the tattoo anyways, i got the tattoo and the only time i ever see it is when iam wearing the lvl 90 astrologian AF since it has an open back, none of my other gearsets show it. personally i think the 1.0 goob is better then the tattoo

Thanks for the input everyone, I have decided to try my luck and restore my 1.0 character. I hope that character will get legacy mark. I'll update you guys when I find out.

So I bought the collectors edition of 1.0, created a character on Excalibur server and played during the free 30 day trial. I didn't enjoy the game back then so I stopped playing after. Come ARR, I made a new character in Siren and was given the onion helm. I deleted my old character in Excalibur. I didn't realize that 1.0 characters would have the legacy mark.

Fast forward years later, I attempted to recover my deleted character, and while the GMs were able to locate my character, they said this account does not qualify for legacy status, not even the legacy mark.

From what I understand, the only requirement to get the legacy mark was to have a character created in 1.0, which I did, but why are the GMs telling me that I don't qualify?

I think the character deletion may be the problem here.

I'm not a legacy player myself but I've been searching google for information about the mark. While others are correct that the mark is not related to the Legacy Campaign, some posts note that there were still additional requirements such as the character had to be successfully transferred/imported into A Realm Reborn. I'm wondering if you deleted the character before it was considered successfully transferred into ARR and that is why the GMs say the character isn't eligible. If you had logged in and played the character for even one minute during ARR, that should have counted as a successful transfer. But if you never logged onto it at all before deleting it in ARR, that might have prevented the data flag from being set properly.

I've tried searching for official Square Enix sources about the correct transfer process but the only link I can find is dead because it was part of the old Lodestone that was later replaced. You might want to try the Wayback Machine at the Internet Archive to see if you can find the post from the old Lodestone archived there.

As others have said, it is not the account that would be eligible for the tattoo. It is only the character created in 1.0 that would be eligible. Perhaps you need to rephrase your question to the GMs to refer to the character and not the account?

I mean, if you are not deleted.
This is might be an issue

But you char basically is gone into trash bin. So, during transition 1.x to 2.0 only existing got the flag for legacy tatto.

I mean why even bother to set flag char that already been put into trash bin.

Therefore you can try requesting to support, mayhap you can get it.


Currently i am trying as well, i have 3 chars delete during 1.xx due we dont have fantasia at that time period.

Legacy mark just requires you to have created a character in 1.0 and then import that character information into ARR when you first signed up (the system would have mentioned it on the character selection screen the first time you start ARR that there is 1.0 character data to be imported.) You can have a level 1 1.0 character that you never played and it would still be available to be imported to ARR and have the Legacy mark.

Of course, deleted 1.0 characters might be more difficult, as it's unclear if SE bothered converting the character data to ARR for that (my boyfriend for instance only had his second 1.0 character available to import into ARR, his original 1.0 character he created which he had deleted in 1.0 years ago, was not available.).

So if you deleted your 1.0 character in 1.0 before ARR, then it's probably gone forever I'm sorry to say.

EDIT: congrats! Welcome to the Legacy club! (I'm pretty confident incidentally that the Legacy mark is meant to be of the Mothercrystal, representing Hydaelyn naturally... but I digress).

To get the Legacy status and tattoo, you needed to have 90 days total subscription paid for after they started the subscription until they shut down the servers. Having a character just created in 1.0 doesnt matter sadly.
