It's not griefing since this is quite literally one of the (very few) things BLU can do and it's built for... though it is genuinely annoying too. Yes, you can simply party up with a BLU or level one yourself, but I highly doubt that was the intended way this event was to be played. It is frustrating to fly to a fate that ends before you can even dismount.

so apparently the only option that doesn't "stress the newbies" is either pressing 1211111111, or do nothing at all.

I don't think you should consider it childish, but auspicious.
Not everyone wants to unlock and level BLU. Particularly for the sake of having an advantage in a limited time event over those who don't, in which case the job becomes useless to them after the event is over. In a perfect world, those who level unlock and level BLU do so because they have an interest in its content, and those who wish to partake in the Yo-kai event are able to grind it out as fairly as those who did it before BLU was even a thing. This is the based truth, and you know it.

Many players are doing this event for the first time ever, they have a long road ahead of them if they want to reap all the rewards. Even if these players did decide to unlock and level BLU to the point that they are no longer at a disadvantage, chances are the BLU players will have long left the fields after consuming the FATEs like the locusts they are by the time they do. It's really is just sad that so many players simply just don't give a eff about others.

Now you DO have the means to keep up with them, again blues cant teleport to fates and they don't fly faster, all it takes is 1 poke while in a party to get gold, or you could go somewhere else if for some insane reason you want to be without a party, but you would rather post on the forums instead of getting it done

Vibechecking the ARR boss fates can be malicious if you do it and people have asked you nicely to stop. At least give other people a chance to get credit IMO. BLU still does plenty of DPS without OHKing fates.

I don’t know how bad the BLU “griefing” is in today’s Yo-kai rerun compared to the ones I had back in ShB. I farmed all the unlockables with minimal BLU help (didn’t understood how the job worked at that point lol) with minimal issues. I simply change how I approach each map when I notice a group of BLU arrives in X map outside joining parties:
    1. Keep your map open & be the early bird to every FATEs. No, seriously. A single BLU can maybe wipe one wave of packs in 2-3 GCDs but they tend to be uncoordinated. Meaning you have at least 3-4 more waves of enemies to tag & build that credit assuming you arrive early. Then, when you think you have contributed enough? (Hello gathering FATEs) Get off the FATE! Keybind your mount! Have your lv sync macro ready if you’re that invested! (I didn’t ). Also preferably on tanks thanks to how credits being largely enmity-based.
    2. Watch the completion% of the FATE you’re heading to. If I’m still 25s away from reaching my destination and it’s already at 40%, I won’t even bother to, unless I know that FATE lasts quite a while.
    3. So.. there’s a lot of BLU. Being the early bird doesn’t help much for the most part. You see two FATEs up at the same time? Go to the opposite direction. Better get 1 gold credit than try for 2 in vain unless again, you know that one FATE cannot be burnt down in 4 seconds.

Back then, I used to see people who b!tched about BLUs happen to not do any, or at least didn’t try smarter as something in common. Well yeah ofc they missed the cake. They bang their head to the wall over and over after refusing to think and/or try different way to approach the case. “Griefing” becomes an odd word to come across over time ever since then and should absolutely be taken as grain of salt IMHO.

1HKO’ing bosses FATEs needs to be tuned down though. I didn’t remember seeing many of those but they’re certainly more annoying to deal with because unlike other types of FATEs, you don’t get 3-4 or more opportunities to tag.

... aye, another mimimi thread. wondering if mankind were just created to whine about anything they can't / don't wanna do.

    but, to the thread itself
participating in fates isn't restricted at all as long u sync ur lvl, doesn't matter if it's a regular job or as blue or beast in 7.0 later on.
and that doesn't depend on any events like Yo-kai or doing fates for any achievements.
sure, playing blu is gonna be faster at doing fates BUT peeps invested time into lvling blu and get all them spells. so? let them use it.

for all other peeps playing regular jobs coz they don't like blu by any reason: be fast at them popping fates, join any PF up - there is a blu in for sure as regular jobs -, it's mostly a fate train at the active map.
so if u don't sleep while u're doing fates, u will get them full rewards each time. meanwhile, be happy if u're doing a fate train with some blus into it, they will make them fates faster. u can take a nap while waiting for them fates to repop when did them properly.

    cheers o/

Just because someone doesn't want to, doesn't mean they can't. The opportunity is equal among us all.

Plus. it's utility doesn't end at yokai fates. On top of the plethora of content involved in BLU raids, it can help in maps and other content as well. It cheeses wall jumping puzzles. It could cheese other overworld based events too.
Many people don't see the full extent of how useful it is as a tool and just see it as a job "that can't use DF" and cross it off like it doesn't exist.
Considering it takes maybe 60-90 minutes to go from level 1 to 90, and only a few minutes longer to get the FATE-destroying skills, the time investment is small and the gains are huge!

Probably in the minority here but this event has been suffering trying to farm atma and zodiak books. I sure picked a bad time for this haha.

I don't remember this being as big of a deal in ShB's rerun, yeah you had BLUs but you were still able to get your FATEs done. I gave up after a few days not because I couldn't do FATEs but because the event was so dull. XD

So what is the difference between now and then?
The drop rates are easier. I too gave up on previous events because I couldn't do another outer la noscea fate without my eyes bleeding.

What about tanks who are deliberately pulling mobs out of Hydro Pull range, when the blu is trying to group them all, freeze them and then let everyone get their free shots in. Shouldn't that also be considered griefing?
