Why isn't anybody talking about Veena's eye change? They changed so that Veena's and Rava's eyes are the same, even though one of Veena's clan differences is having larger pupils!

This is huge nerf! Because just like miqoté's Keeper's of the moon clan, they still have huge pupils. Even hrothgars clan The Lost have their larger pupils. They have a reason to exist! Why did they take it away?? It has to be a mistake they just forgot or didn't think about.
It needs to be changed. This is a reason why I even picked Veena, alongside the lighter skin. It completely changes the characters look and vibe they have.

I actually like Rava eyes better and think it looks better than the old veena eyes. The old veena eyes I could barely see their eye color. I was jealous male viera had those eyes on both rava and veena. I think it’s a good change.

We had it differently though. Not my picture but a great representation. They made old Rava pupil larger and old Veena smaller - identical as a result. They used to be quite different before. I personally liked the old Veena look.

Whatever the case, the deal was to preserve character feel. Instead they made changes at random. How is that acceptable?

Ikr, apparently now the only definitive mviera veena feature is weaker eyebrows. Yay.

I actually like Rava eyes better and think it looks better than the old veena eyes. The old veena eyes I could barely see their eye color. I was jealous male viera had those eyes on both rava and veena. I think it’s a good change.

Yeah, but then there's people like me who chose Veena because of the bigger pupils. If I wanted Rava eyes I would have gone Rava.

I said I like them better. I chose veena at the time because of skin color/tone and I tolerated the eyes. I disliked the no discernible eye color of the veena before. All Veena eyes from a short distance away were the same to me. It doesn’t mean my opinion is better or worse than yours. I’m not aggressively advocating for the change, I am just voicing my opinion. I also dislike Veena’s lack of eyebrows compared to Rava. If Rava had some more skin tones (less orange,red) I would have played them instead just for the eyes and eyebrows. Sun and moon miqo’te have a lot more varied skin tones so choosing between eyes and fangs is more meaningful instead of tolerating things like eyes and eyebrows with Viera. I really don’t understand why eyebrows have to be different either.

Thank you I was so glad to see the smaller puppil on the benchmark for my veena. I understand that some people want the old one back but please give us the choice or alternatively make the two clan skin color palette more similar (not reducing option adding them for both).
I would personally advocate to just scrap the clan system but it's never gonna happens sadly, genuinely why can't miqo'te player get the fang and the slit pupil or both "normal" let people choose. It's an unnecessary limitation to an already extremely limited character creator.

i'm in the same boat. I freaking LOVE that I can actually SEE the color I chose for my eyes now!! And i'll be a bit disappointed if they change it back tbh :T

Honestly it's rather dumb that pupil size is a clan thing anyway 'cause it's not like the lalafell, hrothgar and miqo'te with like fully structural changes, they're just dilated a bit more. And if it were some kind of adaption to their environments, wouldn't veena, living in bright snowy areas, have more restricted light intake than the rava living under the golmore canopy?

Honestly it should be two more options on the character creator:

◯ Large dilated
◯ Small
◯ Small dilated

"easy" fix!

Or, if they're feeling ballsy, and I do prefer ballsy, have the textures dynamically react to the light level. >:]

God, I'd love to see something like that in an MMO, though I imagined it'd be difficult to tackle. It reminds me how much I actually love the small new detail of eyes subtly scanning the area in idle now, and I always wanted to know how Seeker/Keeper & Helion/Lost eyes are supposed to react to this sort of thing.

Though, and this isn't meant to dismiss anyone--because I know what it's like to dislike a feature of your race/clan, and I think opinions for potential character creation extension should indeed be heard--but for now I do hope they revert the Veena and Rava pupils... It's mostly just for the principle, though, and I think it's lame they missed these small clan differences on both Veena genders and Duskwight men. And, well, there's likely a good amount of people who did pick Veena for that option, too.
