The animations are just being played regardless of restrictions for the purpose of generating hype.The animation played before is Dosis III, which is almost assuredly not used at level 100. During Endwalker’s benchmark, Tilana was teased, but the dancer never performed Technical Step prior.

    Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

    That is true.

    I still think is not an eukrasian attack based on the animation length though. In the trailer the nouliths start flying at the beggining of 2:03 and the animation of the attack is not finished by 2:05, that animation length is more in line with a full 2.5s GCD action than a action that is supposed to happen in a 1.5s window

    See, I get the vibe it’s a really hard hitting attack. The visual effect is huge, and the way the sage just pushes down gives me this “with all my strength” type of vibe.

    My thoughts/guesses:

    SGE: I think I could hear the debuff/DoT sound, so my guess is an AoE DoT. Maybe it's getting WHM's old Aero III to try and push the "DPS-Healer" angle more? (◍´͈ꈊ`͈◍)
    AST: Those are Horoscope's sounds effects, aren't they? Maybe it's an upgraded/changed version of Horoscope? You can even see the effects going off on the surrounding partymembers afterwards.
    WHM: Looks like an AoE lily burst heal to me. I think I can even hear the burst heal sound effect.
    SCH: I'll agree with everyone else and say that I think it's an AoE Chain Stratagem.

    Healing in this game is easy. Not even once I go out of MP and mostly more than 75% of MP (inclusive DPSing when nothing to do). Some other MMOs I actually have to manage "MP" and time it on when to heal, or when to go all out. On raids, my MP is almost empty at end of the fight. Too much overheal means out of MP.

    Numbers game can cause toxicity. You can find plenty of evidence on the "other" MMO.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    WAR is the favorite child, alongside BLM. That's expected.

    They are willing to gut one job's identity after drawing people in liking said identity, simplifying it til it's super flashy but smooth brain, but oh boy, we should keep these 2 specific jobs well-maintained.

    If they will really take away all the pet mechanics from SCH and will tell mw that there's BST, i guess it's time to move on as the game is no longer for me.

    For the benchmark, as I'm pessimistic and being realistic with how much SE hates healers:

    SGE: It's Toxikon III given the similarities of the Sage's weapons flying above and attacking the enemy.

    AST: It's either an upgrade to Aspected Helios II, or an animation update for AH I. However, given the impending rework this could be a type of buff from the AST, but the animation preceding it is very much healing-caster animation for the job...

    WHM: In the same fashion as AST, this is either Medica III or an animation update for Medica II. I doubt it's a lily-type heal since the casting animation is very much GCD-like for the job.

    SCH: An animation update or Chain Strategem II, perhaps on an AOE.

    It's not really looking good is it, my fellow healer mains
