Yes please. It gets annoying when you have to server hop because your own decided to have only full stacks of something you only need a few of, especially when you can't afford the full stack.

The game gives new players everything they need -- gear, food, gil. And there are NPC merchants for what you're not given.
So because new players don't need the marketboard, making a fundamental change to the marketboard system for the benefit of new players doesn't seem necessary (or wise) to me.
There's very little in this game (and nothing that a player needs) that can only be got from the marketboard.
It's just a convenience, not a necessity. Even though I don't merchant much -- just drops I don't want mainly -- IMO the marketboard ain't broke, so don't "fix" it.
I don't think it's really a fair argument to say that new players don't need the marketboard. Yes, they get a decent amount of basic gear and junk food and what not through the MSQ, but what if they want to dabble in anything else the game has to offer? Gil doesn't go all too far when you're just starting out and have the whole game ahead of you.The game gives new players everything they need -- gear, food, gil. But if we're keeping with this, I'd argue that most endgame/veteran players don't really need the marketboard either. The game throws gear at you via tomes, raids, etc. Roulettes give you gil. Everything else is just a convenience.
I have no doubt that if they were to make this change, people who play MB roulette would still find a way to make their profits. And gil past a certain point is mostly useless. Might as well make it friendlier towards the buyers/newer players.
I don't really post much on the forums, but I think doing this would remove a feature from the sellers perspective. I know from my point of view as a seller, if I check the prices to sell items I will always check the quantity sold vs. the amount sold for. Quick example is the GC delivery items, if you sell those for a higher gil amount in smaller stacks (to match the GC request), they generally sell faster then if you were to bulk them in 99's and sell at a lower price.
Basically, being able to determine the price AND the quantity sold is my way of selling. It's how I can determine if I want the single item to be sold for a few extra/lower gil and the same for stacked items. I will also experiment with items and sell some at stacks of 99 vs stacks of 20 and varying prices to see what sells faster so I know what to put up for my buyers.
TLDR; this give me a chance to learn my buyers and change my market based on their needs, its fun please don't remove this feature.
Then they can just do what every other new player in the past ten years has done. No need to change the marketboard at all.
[And that applies to veterans players as well.]

What of my other points?
But anyhoo, new players aside, I greatly prefer a partial-buy option as well.
This still doesn't address anything else I said in my post. X: This was fun!

The lack of partial buy is the only reason I can even compete with the bot farmers on my server without having to constantly change prices, so I'd honestly rather this not be a thing.
When price is the only consideration involved it becomes considerably easier for them to monopolize a market.
I find people who list in large quantities to be a bit stupid. I make quicker sales doing stacks of 5 or 10 then they do trying to push a stack of 99 that no one really wants
Both sides have pros and cons. Personally as tedious as it is sometimes, I still prefer the current method. The marketboard is already undercut to bits, with everyone being able to sell everything regardless of stacksize it literally comes down to who undercuts the most, and if you've seen this community they will drop thousands of gil just to get immediate sales. Great for buyers but terrible for gatherers and crafters. Completely invalidates any of their work.
It mostly depends on how much you sell. I only have the basic 2 retainers so I literally don't have the space to split up my sales most the time.
And I wouldn't call selling stacks stupid. It's more a convenience for people who don't live by the summoning bell to do it once and be done with it.
With this being said, I still am 100% against partial sales and say the power should remain in the hands of the seller and not the buyer.
