I don't think it's really a fair argument to say that new players don't need the marketboard. Yes, they get a decent amount of basic gear and junk food and what not through the MSQ, but what if they want to dabble in anything else the game has to offer?

Then they can just do what every other new player in the past ten years has done. No need to change the marketboard at all.

[And that applies to veterans players as well.]
