If you're suggesting that players use a second device and/or program to miss less hunts, that's not a solution to the spam in shout chat, that merely enables more of it. And I'm unsure as to why people are trying to hyperfixate on hunts, probably because it seems like the easiest thing on the long list of things that are disrupted to find a "solution" to but none of that changes the fact that shout ads are a problem and something needs to be done about it. Even people who have some here to argue and be immature, without realizing it, have confirmed the problem. Not that it needs extra confirmation, it's a well known fact that it's out of hand.
This morning I pitched this idea that I've suggested to a venue owner, and they were in love with it. So I can't make sense of why people are trying to argue against having something more efficient and effective to use. There's literally no logical reason behind it, only people arguing for the sake of it. Must be American culture , argue about left and right. I don't get it. Here's a solution. Fight it or embrace and support it

3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.

Shout ads are a direct violation of this part of the tos, and people don't have the right to tell people their gameplay isn't disrupted, if a person feels it's disrupted
Bruh she made her point pretty clear, she's saying that shout ads have never drowned out actual gameplay content because actual gameplay content doesn't ever really utilize the shout chat in main cities, making your argument that they drown out any sort of gameplay pointless. The truth is that people don't utilize shout chat other than to use it for ads or banter, so you're really not missing out on anything at all gameplay wise lol. The truth is if you want gameplay, you're going to utilize the dozen and more discords suited for it, not shout chat in the cities.

I'm not arguing, I'm staying facts based off of experiences. I get that you cant see past the entrance to the quicksand but that doesn't mean that these things mentioned haven't happened or that they don't happen often. I roam the 3 populated data centers with a group of friends every few months and use shout chat to relay all kinds of things , and recruit for old savages and extremes to get people mounts, minions, clears, achievements, blah blah blah. We relay arr sightseeing logs, achievement fate chains , etc. You'd see that if you ever left the quicksand. Try providing a helpful comment in the future instead of attempting to make baseless arguments and comments , and consider all the possibilities surrounding the situation before acting so full of yourself and attempting to derail a thread aimed at helping make a better experience for all players.

Last I checked FFXIV doesn't have discord integration, excusing senseless obstruction and spam based on the suggestion that a user should utilize a second device to play the game isn't valid, sorry. Things still get relayed in the game in linkshells, nn, FC, shout, etc. But if venue ads flood the chat, then these things can be missed. This is common sense. As I said before, I've scrolled up thru these venue ads to see stuff I've missed several times.. missed because of the chat flooding. Or I was informed that something was linked in chat and I missed my chance , despite keeping an eye out, things can still be missed. I mentioned this before and you got mad that you had several people point out several things that were off about the arguments you posted, and you said "poor baby can't scroll up, skill issue" in response to me saying that I scrolled up. Again, this post is aimed at implementing something to make ads easier for viewers and advertisers, not to debate on how much the ads are disruptive. So if you would like to share how qol features being added that benefit all are a BAD idea, I'd love to hear it. If you don't support it or have a valid reason as to why you want to prevent people from having an improved experience, then it's just senseless arguing. I can't make sense of why you would not want people to have a better time in FFXIV. Shouting your opinion louder than other people based on a few small points in a much bigger picture doesn't make you right and other people wrong, nor does it actually cover the topic at hand. So let's try to stay on track here instead of baseless arguments over tiny aspects of a much bigger issue.
