Did you ever play a Table-Top RPG game? It doesn't seem like it. Role Playing games have existed for at least 50 years now. I know players who were teens even back then (the 1970s, in case you can't subtract 50 from 2024). The fact that you, personally, didn't play anything until hitting the Age of Majority is irrelevant, and condescending.

Not all Role Playing experience begins with online games.

Even so, RP gaming experiences from teens now in their 30s is not as uncommon as you might think. World of Warcraft is now 20 years old. RP in that game was a thing, even back at the beginning. Same thing with Everquest and any other MMORPG you might consider.
