Man, writing this felt like schizo post already and I have been thinking if it's even worth to spend time on the forums anymore.

Storm you are correct but it works in limited bubble around you. Have you considered your reasoning might not represent the majority of hoarders? Presenting it like "oh these poor unwanted S plots, alright then, I will take the burden off from your shoulders and obtain them since nobody wants them" is in contradiction what is happening in reality every time new wards are added. Everyone including hoarders goes after L and M first.

The fact is, not miniscule part of FC plots gets multiowned, and lot of M and L end up being sold elsewhere.

And out of all of these 1595 free plots you claim to exist, there are only 3 L's that people can bid on today (feb 10th 2024)

Why are you not telling the whole picture but are bending the truth in favor of your argument? People don't care about thousands of "free" plots if these plots are locked with unknown future date. They go to housing ward and count their current options, and react based on that fact.
Most complains are from existing owners. Not from sprouts that are happy to have their first 3mil and first house.

This is not to say you're wrong. I get your argument from posts some time ago and agree. The wards were not designed to be today's era development sprawl with hundreds of the same size bungalows rotated towards the sun. The residential maps offer plots of different size, vicinity to marketboard/aetheryte, even some isolated plots or nice design twists like ramps, platforms, various things in the residential map to fit multiple types of needs and wants.

Try to see it from point of view as owner of plot 9 in Shirogane. Imagine, that when you joined the game, only this plot was free, and you won from 3 total bids. Congratulations. One year after, looking against the same rock wall in front of the house is annoying, you saved some gil and would love to upgrade. You keep bidding for 3 months every week always fail because of the big number of bidders. Seems like many people want to upgrade from their unpopular S plots, but only very few will get lucky. Is this S plot your endgame? Is this the....best?
