A friend of mine who's addicted to Gatchas literally doesn't touch SE gatcha games because they die within 2 years.main thing i notice is more and more "throw away" games and less "gems" now i actually like KH and FF7r, i appreciate its an untitled sequel and as such i expect nothing like the original. as for kh i am hopefuly 4 will be better than 3 even tho 3 wasnt even that bad just really confusing. but latley i see them put out more of these mobile games for quick easy cash and its just such a waste, reminds me of disney actually
its honestly a shame. they have some really talented industry giants working there. (nomura, sakaguchi, yokotaro, matsuno, akira toriyama) why not invest in another big franchise instead of these easy cash grabs
While I agree with you, I think you already answered your own question, my friend. Unfortunately.
Sakaguchi, Yoko Taro, Matsuno and Akira Toriyama aren't SE employees. Sakaguchi has his own studio and hasn't worked with SE since Mistwalker was founded. Yoko Taro and Matsuno are freelancers. Akira Toriyama only works with Armor Project.
freelancers are still very much at there disposal
Not exclusively. And while Yoko Taro's past success justifies putting a whole team together, Matsuno's involvement with SE after Final Fantasy XII's tumultuous development was writing scenario for side content in XIV. He left SE for a reason.
Good. I really do wish that predatory nonsense would fall off a cliff and never come back. I left an MMO I'd played for 11 years due to said game committing itself to trying to emulate a smartphone game business model - namely gamble boxes and big-ticket (£300) item bundles.
what mmo if i may ask ?Good. I really do wish that predatory nonsense would fall off a cliff and never come back. I left an MMO I'd played for 11 years due to said game committing itself to trying to emulate a smartphone game business model - namely gamble boxes and big-ticket (£300) item bundles.
there are plenty of xbox people who wanted this game, now ill be surprised if any do
but.. thats..![]()
A terrible one
It'll be interesting to see how hard they press the advertising for this, because - as things stand (and assuming there isn't something in the small print) - it's hard to see how they could put much of a positive spin on something like this.
