I never would have caught this if I didn't read the thread.
If it does cost two subscriptions on Xbox, I'm really hoping playstation doesn't follow Xbox's method and require PS+ and the FF sub. :-/

Historically that's how it's gone. Company A starts doing some outlandish crap. Customers of Company A go along with it. Company B sees this and goes "damn, we could be doing that too!" and does it. Then Company C takes note and they start doing it as well. Before we know it, it just becomes the standard and people are like "it's always been this way!" Hell, I remember when Microsoft was just starting to charge a sub fee to use the online service, and I was on my ps3 thinking that was the dumbest thing ever. Then Sony realized it worked and started doing the same exact crap, but at least nintendo wasn't doing it. Then nintendo started doing it too, lmao
Anyway, that's a real shame. I can't imagine paying 2 subscriptions for a game that gets like 3 "major" updates a year. Can barely justify the one tbh
