Chain also feels so random as hell. Like I have runs were chains does feeling wise nothing for me. I have runs were im at 20 % crit rate in chain and I have normally 25 around as % on my gear for top. It just feels sometimes that chain does nothing.Does anyone really even consider SCH worthy of the title “buff healer”, chain is literally the single most boring button of any of the in game buffs because while it’s objectively potent it’s even harder to see a 10% increase in crit chance than it is to see 6% damage up
I guess maybe you could argue it makes cramming ED’s into a window slightly more interesting which I guess makes it maybe a bit more interesting than searing light but ED itself is so weak feeling even that doesn’t feel remotely useful (also ignoring the fact that only one CS can be up on the boss at a time during casual content)
If you are gonna be a “buff healer” I feel like you should have at least 2-3 buffs, whether that be AST’s design of multiple short buffs, DNC’s design of a potent buff on one person constantly or BRD’s design of a weak buff with 100% uptime, SCH doesn’t remotely feel like a buff healer in practice
Indeed, it also that the buffs that we have are usually some of the blandest stuff out there.

Just FYI they changed it so that if you use a skill that is guaranteed to crit, while affected by a crit-rate increase buff (Litany, Chain, Devilment), the game now treats it as 'increases damage by X%' to allow you to keep making use of the buff even as something like a WAR or SAM. TBF, I did think it was pretty silly that DRG, who has a guaranteed crit (LifeSurge) could not benefit from it's own buff (Litany) for that skill
Ya that change happened in 6.2 vause after they made the changes to sam for auto crit for midare and ogi, dancers stopped being dance partners with SAM since a good amount of moves made it so the dnc buffs didn't amtter so much so they made that change where a guaranteed crit buff increases the damage of those that do the auto crit and auto direct hit as well.
You made get tired of seeing this back on the front page but as of now this is probably the biggest healer thread out there.
Once again bringing this to the forefront.
I commend the effort but at this point I doubt that the devs listen to the feedback here.
Maybe its just me getting ready to be disappointed again when they show the new actions (pls SE prove me wrong)
to say it in a way that doesn't result in a ban:
Japan is much to proud to take advice from westerners, unless of corse that advice comes with a fat sack of ESG money
Not really, what I was trying to say is that we have been giving them feedback for more than 4 years about the several problems the role has and the devs, instead of making changes that made sense given the complaints, have only made changes that showed a lack of effort, polish and understanding about the several issues that the role faces on a daily basis. On top of that we have seen them making comments that either completely miss the mark and are dismissive (like the one that started this whole thread) or are plain wrong and do not reflect the reality.
My comment is not a "they dont listen because japan" is a "they dont listen because don't understand the feedback of this thread (and all almost all healer related threads to an extent)". Cultural differences have little to do with that.
"we have heard you pleas and in response we decides to buff warrior, give them more self heals and aoe healing, a no mana cost instant cast rez, and a puppy. please look forward to next product. Not really, what I was trying to say is that we have been giving them feedback for more than 4 years about the several problems the role has and the devs, instead of making changes that made sense given the complaints, have only made changes that showed a lack of effort, polish and understanding about the several issues that the role faces on a daily basis. also we just deleted scholar shields, there, no more worrying about them being overlapped." -devs
