Housing Plot Instanced

Not sure if this is possible but has anyone brought up this idea?

Add instanced housing to the current district.
Each owner of a house will see their house only on the plot they buy, but an option to see random houses pop up on their plot and all plots over time or each time the player loads into a zone.

Have all plots randomly show different player houses over time or when loading into zone.

Plots are instances, where entering your house plot (inside the fence perimeter) area takes you to your instanced house, but you can still see the housing district and the other houses around your house.

This way the housing divisions will still feel like a community and everyone can get a house wherever they choose to build one.

So when you want to visit someone's plot, you can't because that idea would prevent that (although it would create way more houses for everyone)

No thank you, there are other games with instanced housing, ffxiv is ward housing.

OPs idea is very kind, but not very practical. There is wayyy too many small plots. Let's not pretend that while yes, many people are happy with their small plots, there is also quite few small plot owners who would prefer medium, or large, and supply is keeping them from owning the preferred plot.

To some people the yard and the garden is big thing. And I personally enjoy taking walk around random ward to see peoples houses (if they're open). Neatly put garden and yard is eyecatcher.

I think I'd just take apartment update instead.

It's a good idea, the best instanced idea yet, but the people who love this game for housing want neighborhoods. Every other MMO in existence has instanced housing; There's only two I know of that have had neighborhoods.

That being said, there is not enough space to do this assuming people could buy whatever size house they wanted. The demand for larges, on my server, is double the demand for mediums. A ton of people would have larges and there would be no open neighborhood to randomly spawn their large into. It would be like the problem of adding a lot more wards. People will instantly buy the larges and maybe mediums but all of the smalls would be completely empty.

It could always be set up so one plot is always the plot on display, with the instanced houses at the same location reached through a placard menu. There are a few ways to design such a system so it would work to satisfy the vast majority of players (will always be those few who find reason to complain).

Houses do not make a community. People make a community.

All the plots in my ward may be filled with houses decorated but it still feels like a ghost town without other players walking around.

Your idea has the potential to make wards feel more like communities by adding more owners to the ward (even if their plots are instanced) but it will be dependent on how many players will spend time in a specific ward to talk to others. The game has too many wards to make that likely to happen.

I want instanced, but this is not how I would want it to work. I want to be able to see my own house at all times. lol I think a directory within the existing zones somewhere would be better.

Imagine being an owner of a large and having 50 people constantly teleporting to their large that is in the same spot as yours. Like those bot swarms teleporting in cities, but in front of your own house that is supposed to be a sanctuary.

Out all the instanced housing systems I have seen in mmos. Rift I feel as the best cause it basically gives a Island with a house or without house. Either way though in that game you can build structures on your island so lack of a house is not problem. As for visiting you can block unwanted visitors from coming to your instance.
