What do we have to look forward to with Dawntrail?

I am hoping to finish Endwalker and post-Endwalker in time for Dawntrail's release. That would make it my first time starting a new MMO expansion while being current. I can't wait to discover Tural along with everyone else! (Though I haven't decided whether to pre-order.)

I would also like to echo a point made by Synodic Scribe: since the game has said little about the New World, the lore and environments of Dawntrail, like those of Shadowbringers, are likely to be less constrained by 1.0 and 2.0's world design, compared to the other expansions. It is likely we will see something truly novel for this cycle.

Surely the people who are criticizing our game in this thread don't have all their mounts or minions or achievements. Surely they don't play as much as we do.

I am really hoping they have something new and semi-exciting to announce content-wise at the next Fanfest because more of the same minus a long established narrative isn't exactly a hype builder.

Dragoon not getting ruined because I think its already a Solid Job, and Astro getting improved to make up for getting rid of Royal Road and turning the cards into.....crap.

Everything after that is just a bonus.

Dragoon and the new jobs are the end all be all of Job direction imo. If all we see is more of the same trend, it's safe to say we are stuck with the dumbed down homogenous approach to job design that has become customary.

And that sucks. Not for me bc I play BLM, but moreso because of all the people I know who are tired of their classes being destroyed or turned into things they aren't.

I'm hoping for the new exploratory zone to be an upgrade from Eureka, and for the new Criterions to be somewhat relevant so you don't see them die within a week of PF. I also want to see what the new raid tier is going to be about, I love raid logging.

I also look forward to Eden Ultimate and whatever they do with Stormblood.

Pretty much how I feel about it just to a lesser extent, I think id still sub in a few times but for the most part I'd be unsubbed if DT is exactly like EW if not worse gameplay wise, which if im honest it's more likely that dawntrail will be the same old that Endwalker is but likely worse in some areas, theirs also a chance that feedback is listened to but at this point I've not got my hopes up for it.

What I look for most is jobs that feel different (adds depth and replay value to the game), Tanks & Healers should feel way different from DPS but are locked into just being unfun boring DPS that all offer the same thing, Their design being "dps" is fine to a extent but if that's most of what they do, and just outright very simple and boring, while their utility doesn't really feel impactful anymore what's even the point of support jobs? DPS on the other hand have it best, but still have major issues. To me DPS are starting to feel the decline tanks and healers have in SHB but only mildly, but because DPS is the majority that's when they might actually listen... after a while maybe.

That ontop of no real grinds or open world anymore forms a very unfun endgame that feels boring, not to mention how overused the scions are in the MSQ, it feels like the team are just not going to take risks with design, story ect. which just makes the game feel all the same, The current design felt fresh in shadowbringers, Endwalker was just a extention of that taking away more things then adding more things, so I feel like it's safe to assume currently that DT will just be watered down endwalker unless feedback is took seriously.

My last point here is that the game will likely do pretty well regardless, but I feel like the game can actually do and be better so I'm not one who's just going to settle down for acceptable.
