If you're wondering, what genuinely matters to me is that classes are fun to play and have some depth, with opportunities for good players to really shine, and that we have fun "community content" for lack of a better word. Ways for player to interact, activities in which one must team up and do stuff. MMO-like, you know? I thought FFXIV was the full package some years ago, however. Fantastic story, passionate dev team, at least serviceable PvP, and very fun classes. HW 3.5 DRK, MCH, DRG, MNK, 4.0 and even 5.0 SAM, BLM, NIN, etc. I'm looking at you.

On the first note, God knows there's no hope for that. Homogenization has set in and will continue to happen, and the 4 guys working on classes think it's swell. What's left for me is PvP, treasure hunts, deep dungeons, and such silly things. I like competition, I like dungeon diving, and I like getting cool loot with other people. That said, I no longer feel inspired by seeing an awesome player to get really good once more like back in the day and raid to meet new challenges, because to me how fun a class is first, then the encounter design.

And there's also the looming fact that Yoshi-P and "Team A" so to speak are still busy with FFXVI. We're in the back burner, if that.

So if you're down here, I ask again, what do you expect? What are you looking forward to?

Because to me, as it is, we're getting the same product again and again for some years, but lesser each.

P.S: Yes, I unsub. FFXIV is no longer the game I play the most, but I wish it were amazing once more.

With all due respect, I do not see the majority of content as "silly". To you, maybe, but the breadth of activities in FF 14 caters to all tastes.

FF 14 is more than just raid logging, which is one of its key features. I keep seeing this "players should want to get good like the used to"..why? Isnt it up to each person to do what they want?

FF 16 is finished and released..Im not seeing the connection here.

, activities in which one must team up and do stuff.
With all respect again, one cannot force others to "socialise". Im not sure what you mean by this to be honest, can you expand?

    and intricate food animations
    ...um.....Im confused now...wut?

I don't use silly as a pejorative, but it's a small thing hardly anyone partakes in. The dev team certainly doesn't take it seriously either, hence, silly. I would say the latest deep dungeon is proof of that, and the fact I am just dumping pvp crystals on stuff I don't need because they hardly ever put new rewards in. TO BE FAIR, they do seem to be giving PvP a good ol' college try with the revamp. Like I said, it's what I actually like the most ATM.

I said that I in particular don't feel inspired to be the best like before, not that everyone should go raid logging.

Yoshi-P just announced they're working on a port to PC and DLC for FFXVI.

Socialization is the wrong way to think about it IMO. You don't have to get chummy with all your Eureka party members, but you do have to work in a team to get anywhere productive. I think it's the most appealing thing about MMOs, forming a team and kicking ass.
