The post 6.0 story has been mostly filler and forgettable.

Combat gameplay is probably the worst it has ever been, the fixation on everything looping either every 60 or 120 seconds leading to incredibly samey job design, gigantic hitboxes, overabudance of bodycheck mechanics to prevent recovery and artificially inflate the time spent progging a fight.

Increasingly longer gaps between patches, we went from 3.5 months to 4 months to now 4.5 months.

Very short shelf life of the content we have been getting, little to no midcore content or even content to spend longer amounts of time on between patches.

The relic weapon quests essentially auto-completing themselves.

More severe bugs than any previous expansion.
Most people probably don't even remember the bug that would lock you out of your main job mechanic if you had another bard in the party, Shake It Off healing for 1mil HP, the boss aggro and buff cap issues in TOP, your job buffs applying to other people in the party, the housing lottery debacle, the Ninja Mudra bug that lasted for over a month, etc
The quality of the story is debatable, but that's a kind of subjective take. I know some people hated it but I've heard a vast majority enjoying it and even crying at some points. A lot of these people will concede on the awkward parts but they enjoyed it a lot. We could get super nitpicky here and arrive at no conclusion at all for how subjective it was. I personally enjoyed base Endwalker's story.

Post 6.0 story is a hit or miss for me. But again, there are people who just enjoyed Zero as a character, the patch cycle going to 4.5 might have made feel the story dragging forever, but I wouldn't call it mediocre. For the jobs it's the same story, you can find an equal amount of players liking the 120 meta vs people who think it's too dumb easy.

Most of the bugs have been resolved now, but I never found things to be as bad breaking as Cyberpunk or Starfield. The awkward bugs were fixed.

I'll give you that the auto-relic was a choice I never liked. But when I think about mediocre, I think maybe... the dungeon boss encounters being unable to surprise you, the wall to wall mobs without any particular danger or interesting mechanic to them, being able to sleep through the 24 man dungeons. The lack of Eureka/Bozja like content was a bad choice, just like being unable to incorporate the criterion dungeons to their rewards system making it awkward and disposable.

When you say utter mediocrity you make it sound like it's just a waste of time. And I don't think that's true.

That being said, I still don't understand what the OP means by jealous.
