Achievements collecting has no real rewards

I don't mind it, getting hard achievements is fun and I care about those ones.

I do not care about tedious achievements that are braindead, like the discover 20,000 Accursed Hoards one. That is a stupid achievement I have no interest in.

The strange thing is those achievements actually give you nothing outside worthless points. I was going to do the 1k frontline wins for each gc but as there is no reward I decided my sanity was more important.

I work on certain achievements when I'm in the mood and I feel adding more rewards would be fine. It wouldn't inspire me to do content I'm not interested in, but as long as it was an overall increase not restricted to any one type of activity there would be something for me to do in my spare time.

Imo there are too many really unhealthy achievements, that unless it was a weak system I'd be quite leery of it and what would get put behind it and if it was weak then.. not sure it would help for the OP's desire.

I think best bet would be carefully revamping veteran reward system (which is essentially the certificate system).

Some players really want to go for every achievement yet some of them ridiculous gaps like say. 10 times, the next achievement is 100. Then 1000 or 5000. These gaps are insane and just feel like padding it out to make u play the game more.

Yes, that's kind of the idea behind most video game achievements.

If you don't feel like it, there's nothing saying you have to.

I greatly prefer achievement systems without rewards. The incentive for playing a game should be the enjoyment. Incentive systems just mask hollow content that isn't actually desirable and pressure people into devoting time to things they don't want to do.

Most people cheat for high end achievements? Sounds like nonsense. The people that do cheat for achievements are just losers regardless. The best part is they can't escape their conscience. They know deep down they are losers.

I wouldn't say most.
But it only takes a few to take the enjoyment out of it for everyone.
