What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

6.1 to 6.4 is just super boring

It's a filler arc. Unfortunately, it feels like a filler arc. And yes, there's a difference.

Good filler still feels like it's adding something to the story. As an example, in the anime of My Hero Academia, filler is used to build on events that were glossed over in the manga due to limited time or page count (mostly letting the rest of the class get some time in the limelight). It's not necessary, you could probably drop most of it and not miss a lot to the overall plot, but it still helps flesh out the world and the supporting cast.

Bad filler just feels empty. The Namek arc in Dragon Ball Z is the big cliche example; rather than actually doing anything while they were waiting for more manga to come out to adapt, they just kinda....futzed around and didn't do a lot. Sure, things happen, but nothing really important or all that interesting. There's a ton of what's basically glorified dead air while you're waiting for Goku to show up and start punching things.

Whether the Golbez arc goes anywhere in the future, we can't really say yet. But right now, it just feels.....disconnected. Like it was planned as a side story like the Warring Triad or the Four Lords or the Weapons, then they realized they didn't have enough to fill up the MSQ and padded it out to fill the spot. The Scions popping in and out just to say they showed up makes it feel even worse.

we will go to the void one day this was an opening arc. SE likes to gives backstory super early before going into the expansion that goes into the story. they have done it before with the warriors of darkness.
