Then you must hate the entirety of FFXIV then because, newsflash 90% of all of its lore is ripped straight from the other games.Same, Ivalice felt like a whirlwind of names and places just dumped on you through paragraphs and paragraphs of text, and then being shuffled through set pieces from Tactics and FF12 and feeling like you were supposed to know that boss or that thing that was just mentioned.
I'd rather have something like Shadows of Mhach where it's entirely new to the series but might have a reference or a character here or there, as opposed to Ivalice or Nier, where they just plop another game's world down in the ff14 setting and if you didn't play it you're just lost.
You actually can write a whole bible about every single name and reference to the past titles.

Even a majority of monster models are ripped and upscaled from ff11, 12, 13 and 6 if you took out all the references names and monsters from all the final fantasies they referenced we be left with not much original stuff.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.

Gotta keep the theme park going
Makes ya wonder what will happen once they've referenced literally everything from the series' past, eyy?

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore

If they had the decency of providing the option to pay sub for both games at the same time at a discount I'd jump right into Final Fantasy XI for longer period. The price they charge for XI subs + all the extras you have to pay for in 2023+ is absolutely ridiculous. The game is from 2002, with a dedicated staff of 2 people and Square-Enix's investment in it is just keeping the servers running. They could well afford to lower the sub or offer a discounted sub combo.
Same, this is the perfect opportunity to start sharing sub. But knowing SE theyre not going to just give up not earning money just for good will like that.If they had the decency of providing the option to pay sub for both games at the same time at a discount I'd jump right into Final Fantasy XI for longer period. Its actually surprising how Blizzard of all companies managed to be more curtious with their Classic and Retail subs
Oh, don't get me wrong, that kinda thing is why I don't play on private servers. I said it was fun enough, but I didn't keep playing for exactly the reasons that the devs seemed a bit...uh...yeah. That and private servers can be shut down at any time, so you could put ours/days/months into a character, just for it to go poof. Which doesn't sound very fun to me and kind of defeats the point of an MMO with a persistent world.Man, when Horizon first came out there was like no way to get a controller to work with it. I tried it out, just because I was interested.
Then came the news that they basically were making THF and daggers OP and all of the team putting it out there's favorite jobs better. While bludgeoning staple jobs from back in the day with major or minor nerfs. Like they made Wasp Sting stronger than Tachi: Enpi lol
Like sure, it was easy to setup, but once you get through the setup for retail, you won't have to do it again (and if you, for some reason, do then you know how). And then, you won't have to worry about some weird devs taking money from that Ninja streamer banning you for complaining about their server. (Which they themselves exploit and cheat on)
I was more mentioning it for the installation and launcher stuff, since there's 0 reason Square can't do that themselves, and if they did, it would probably entice far more people to pick up the game.

If we were gonna get another crossover with another Square Enix game I would have rather it be Chrono Trigger or something, but well, I haven't played 11 to any meaningful extent so it might be fun.
Even more so when you consider SE has had more MMO ventures than Blizzard with FFXI, FFXIV, Dragon Quest X, and Front Mission Online.Same, this is the perfect opportunity to start sharing sub. But knowing SE theyre not going to just give up not earning money just for good will like that.

No it doesn't, they've already made a raid based on a none-Final Fantasy game, Nier. SE has a whole cataloge of classics and cult classics they can pull from for a while. (ꉺᗜꉺ)

No one cares about Mr Happy, he is not the face of the community either, the playes in general are and no clown with a microphone and a webcam can talk for all.
