I think they did Ivalice well, integrating it into FFXIV's story as part of the Garlean's conquest. You would miss out on some reference if you didn't play 12/Tactics but you don't need to know it to enjoy the story. Nier was poor though. As long as Vanadi'el is integrated into part of FFXIV's world, it will be fine.
Not a single soul here has said that once.
MrHappy is doing something good for the community by being the forefront host of this event, there are people are interested in XI and even moreso now that the next Alliance Raid series will be paying homage to it.
He even posted a video to guide people through the ridiculously complicated purchase and download process, is giving sources that will help players along the way, collecting some people that are knowledgeable about XI to help new players to the game so they can have their best experience possible.
What have you provided to this game's community that even remotely matches this effort and scale? Because as far as this site is concerned most of what you display is unhinged takes about content creators that nobody bloody asked for.
Your comment here is totally uncalled for. You don't care what they do, you will look for any and every possible reason to hate on any content creator, even reasons that don't exist. No one asked for you to come in with your toxic comments. The only one making themselves look like a clown here is you.
If we had a face of the community Mr Happy is probably one of the best candidates IMO the guy is ancient and has done pretty much every piece of content in the game.
The events been in full swing for a few days now. I think he's managed to fill up three LSes. People still welcome to join and come on down to Bahamut!
Lots of people seem to be having fun, and I see many already getting to level 99!![]()

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
He is widely agred upon to be the only person who can/should pull off being the face of FF14 social media.
I make an active effort to not follow ANY 14 content creators cause I just find videos of the game outside of guides stale as hell and devoid of originality. But if I had to pick someone, it would 100% be MrHappy.
Hell, the man got me into the game and I only ever played platformers and the odd niche rpg before him.
Lol have to stop ya there on the visual thing. Ya need to open your eyes to some of the better indie games and older games that people still play...heck i will even add pokemon as it's not graphically impressive. As it stands currently it's highly probable the trial being 2 weeks is a tech limitation given FFXI is a PS2 era title that didn't even have a trial version initially. Currently however I feel that the game's dated visuals are probably the biggest hindrance to having new players pick up the game. I'm sure a number of ppl here will claim it's UI, however the menu based UI didn't really phase most players familiar with traditional RPGs. FFXI does however require a lot more thinking to play compared to FFXIV.
Sure I've seen XI and it's from ps2 Era but who cares. The story is good. They could redo graphics with a budget I guess but again...why destroy something like that when WoW has same Era graphics and is popular as ever
