How do you guys think SE will accommodate more account/ wide features since Blizzcon?

We still have single character mounts and glams which is making them big bucks as a lot of people have alts

so they'll pretty much do nothing as it's a good money machine.

Also cross DC party finder and duty finder should have been in the game a long time ago, no idea why it isnt, dc travel through regions as well.

Honestly, I say it is doing them the opposite. If all the store items were account wide I'd buy the entire store out. Maybe not instantly, but slowly over time for sure. But I just don't see the point of dumping all that money on a character I may just get bored of playing. There's many reasons to want an alt. Maybe I want to play on a totally different region. With my original character stuck owning a home I don't want to abandon entirely. Maybe I want to just "main" a totally new job and get BiS on it alongside my original character. Maybe I just want to clean slate my entire friends list and start new. Maybe I just want to take breaks from playing my original race without messing with fantasias. I can honestly only ever see my character as the original race I made it as... it just never feels right having it as anything else. That's just my personal taste.

Even if you had account wide everything, and a buffed barbershop that let you change EVERY aspect about your character (including gender, only excluding race). You'd STILL have millions of fantasia addicts that swap back and forth over and over. Never underestimate the fantasia addicts. You'd probably have more of a reason to buy boosts since if you make an alt you probably don't want to level the same classes over again. And now you'd have plenty of new toys to share between your alts buying them from the store. They can only profit from loosening up on these things.

That honestly is a pretty cool thing, I wished they'd done this back when I was still playing.

But it won't bring me back to WoW, though. I'm not sure anything will, and I have over a decade of time there.

As always, it is way too little too late with Blizzard. The trading post being a thing would have been nice the 19 other years I was a diehard subscriber. I'd be rolling in excess currency by now. Their honor system they put in during Legion? Where was that during vanilla, BC, WotLK, cata, MoP, and WoD? Aka the only expansions I gave a damn about PvP in? I'd be honor level 1000+ or whatever by now, but instead I'm like 50 cause who cares about playing in a post MoP pvp balance era? And then there's the transmog system. Another thing way too late. Its all I lived for after like Legion, just doing endless old raids on 12+ alts and watching me get nothing but junk other classes use that I can't learn. How many times did I vendor all this trash that could have been added to my collection instead? They waited way too long for this stuff. WAY too long.

I can only hope and pray FF14 doesn't wait too long themselves. Improving the way we handle glamour storages and more account wide unlocks. Both from the mogstore and earnable in game. If I do a unique accomplishment as a player, I feel like I shouldn't have to do it again. The only thing I ever want to actually willingly repeat are leveling up (or paying for boosts for alts) and upgrading my gear.

WoW could turn into the best MMO you've ever played tomorrow, fulfilling every wish you ever had and every niche for every player, and these people would still yell at you that you're going to hell for playing it.

Always thought it'd be nice to choose between account-wide/single-character option while buying stuff from mogstation. Naturally there should be upgrade possibility if you wanna make your single-character purchase into account wide.

Mounts are already account-wide and nice, but it'd be nifty to be able to buy your fav glamour thing for every possible character at once.

Also, even just cross DC stuff in general. Yeah, we can travel, but not being able to just do it from a player perspective feels bad. In Wow, my buddy can just invite me to a group and queue for dungeons without having to queue for either server. And while I understand that it's probably a server issue, I just think there has to be some way if that's what the cloud datacenter is going to be for then perfect. It's just what I've described you could do in Wow 10 years ago. I just think the speed at which SE is going with improvements on the technical end has been extremely slow, and more often, then not the fix is some convaluted way to do it. I'm not a tech guy, so who knows. I just hope they stop dragging their feet.

Not likely sadly. They've been here since 2013 it seems? Unless this is like a recent mood shift or something, I haven't been on the forums for long. All I know is they're always trying to shut down any and all discussion by telling people that the game is perfect. You could have the tiniest criticism, and they'd tell you it's not valid.

The battlegroups are still there (they're analogous to the logical data centers here). Blizzard had a decade head start on working out how to break down the barriers between all their data centers.

Not that I think time should be an excuse for why we still have the separation here. We know that the FFXIV and WoW devs talk with each other. I would hope that the FFXIV technical team has been able to learn from the WoW technical team experiences.
